“A Great B&B with Wonderful Hosts”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2013

This was by far the best place we stayed on our 2 week vacation in Ireland. The hosts Gerry and Phena are very welcoming. Phena gave us great suggestions for dinner, and Gerry provided great directions and tips for places to visit on the Dingle Peninsula including our visit to The South Pole Inn in Annescaul a wonderful local pub founded by an incredible South Pole explorer Tom Crean. The breakfasts were wonderful, but what I enjoyed the most was the friendliness and Gerry's ability to always have an amusing story to tell.

Phena and Gerry made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. Phena offered us coffee and fresh cake when we arrived and then we met Gerry as he came in from mucking out the stalls in the cattle barn. They invited us into their kitchen and treated us like family. Our breakfast each morning was fabulous and made to order by Phena. Gerry was our waiter each morning and we loved his genuinely friendly and kind personality as he shared some of his "life" stories with us. Our en suite bedroom w/bath was gorgeous! Loved the little heater in the bathroom too. The entire house was spotlessly clean and very quiet at night for sleeping. Beautiful bedding too and a great mattress.....not always the case at B&B's we found. Phena and Gerry were very helpful with suggestions for places to eat, local attractions and directions. I would HIGHLY recommend Tom & Eileen's Farm to anyone planning to travel to Ireland. I know it will be the first place we book should we return to the Emerald Isle in the future.

Room Tip: We prefer to have a room on the top floor so we didn't hear people walking around above us while...

By far our best B&B experience in our recent trip to Ireland. Phena and Gerry made us feel so at home. Breakfast was delightful and made fresh for us. The
large breakfast table made meeting the other guest easy and enjoyable and Gerry helped break the ice with his stories and advice on the sights nearby. They obviously take great pride in what they do. Beautiful home and the best smelling sheets ever. 5 star all the way!

Tom & Eileen's Farm; Castlemaine, Phena & Gerry Buckley, very nice home, entertaining hosts, greeted with tea & scones. Working veal farm, horses, cows, kittens and dog, Suzy. A fine example of a typical farm in Ireland. These people treated us as part of the family. We laughed constantly at Gerry's stories, marveled at Phe's kitchen. This was a hard place to leave. Food was delicious, super clean rooms. Exemplary hosts. Their recommendations for sites to visit and places to eat were right on the mark. This place deserves a top rating.

Superb B&B: very pleasant hosts, a spacious and quite new family room with an immaculate ensuite and the world's biggest walk-in robe, good breakfast options. Kids enjoyed looking at the animals and playing with the kittens. Only downsides were the very strong acrid smells from the livestock, and the lack of anything of interest or good dining options in the closest towns - easily outweighed by the wonder of driving the majestic Dingle Peninsula on an easy day trip.

This was more than a room and a meal- you felt like family. Pheena made us tea and scones upon arrival and the entire family was gracious and willing to show you around the farm. The breakfast was wonderful- Gerry makes a great porridge! I would go back again everytime I was in Ireland! This was the best experience among several stellar places that we stayed.

Room Tip: Due to the location, all rooms are quiet. Nice size beds!

Best B&B in Ireland. Phena and Gerry were gracious hosts and went out of their way to make our stay one to remember. Their place is beautiful and very clean. The room was spacious and the breakfast was delicious. When we arrived at their place we were welcomed with tea and homemade scones. Two of the nicest people I have ever come across. Thank you Gerry and Phena
