Certificate of Excellence

We decided to have a couple of days relaxation after Christmas and the Ballyliffin Lodge Hotel proved to be the perfect choice for us. From the moment we arrived, the staff were excellent and delivered helpful, efficient and prompt service. We were lucky to stay in a sea view room with its own jacuzzi bath - a treat we thoroughly enjoyed ! We dined in both nights of our stay and ate in the bar which offered very tasty food and good value for money. Overall, the hotel and staff couldn't be faulted in any way and we'll definitely stay at the hotel again whenever we get a chance.

A nice hotel in a beautiful area. The decor and feel of the hotel is warm and homely. The pool etc were nice but as this is a relatively new hotel I thought it would of have been better. The food was absolutely beautiful- delicious!!We had a superior room which was very spacious. We enjoyed our stay and it was very good value as our dinner and breakfast were included- a lovely new year get away!

Family outing with wife, daughter, son-in-law and 3 grandchildren on a one night stay December 23rd/24th to take in the Santa experience. From the moment we arrived the enjoyment started with staff dressed as elves and the place had that lovely Christmas look. Our rooms were 1st class and dinner and breakfast fantastic. Staff were so helpful with any request even getting baby bottle heated. The daughter and family went to Santa show and thoroughly enjoyed while I took time to enjoy the leisure facilities, brilliant.
We even had a walk along beach on day of arrival and actually spent time at beach on Christmas-eve, the scenery was beautiful and very refreshing. The 2 1/2hr drive from Lurgan was well worth it and I recommend this Christmas experience to everyone young and old.

Just back from a three night stay over New Year. The hotel was buzzing with guests and locals for the whole stay. Families are particularly well catered for, with a Kids' Club operating for the 5-12 year olds, so if you are child phobic this is probably not the hotel for you. Having said that, the children staying over New Year were generally very well behaved. The restaurant is an extension of the bar, but the standard of the food is beyond that. A separate restaurant would be a definite asset for those who don't want somewhat over loud live music while eating. The gems at this hotel are the staff, everyone of whom was efficient and friendly and as a group made up the best service team we have encountered anywhere in Ireland. Recommended, particularly but not exclusively, for families.

Room Tip: Don't worry about noise, earplugs are provided.

Traveled from Newry with all of my family including 8 adults, my daughter, 5 nieces and 2 nephews for an overnight stay & visit to Santas Village the Saturday before Christmas. After a long drive we arrived to a beautiful hotel in an excellent location.
The staff were lovely, everyone was dressed as elves which really added to the atmosphere of the occasion! Our room was well presented and the beds were very comfortable.
I would recommend the Santa Village to everyone, it was excellent value, with Santa even performing a magic show! All of the children together got a group photo which is absolutely amazing and made the trip worthwhile!
The only problem we had was that my brothers garlic potatoes never arrived during dinner. We asked at least 3 different waitresses about it, none of them brought them to the table or offered a reason as to why he wasn't getting them. We didn't let this spoil our trip but it could easily have been addressed by staff at the time eg if the kitchen had ran out of garlic potatoes they could have offered an alternative...
My dinner on the other hand was very tasty as was the breakfast the next morning complete with porridge & strawberries!
It was very nice to be able to visit the beach after breakfast and fly our kites, and we look forward to returning to Ballyliffin Lodge during the summer months.

We were in the Lodge a lot over the new year for meals and the the new year's eve dance.
We went for dinner on New Year's Day. Just a note to say everything was nice until I was served imitation cream with my dessert. A four star hotel not serving fresh cream with dessert !!

Please don't respond by saying it was Fresh Cream, It absolutely was not and I work in the Creamery business.

Stayed recently in the Lodge on a weekend break. Could not fault it in any way and for the amount I paid,it was a fantastic deal! Staff were superb and the hotel was so clean and fresh it appeared just recently opened ( I think it has been opened about 7 years). Enjoyed it so much,I'm heading back in January. Can't wait! (Ps, can the receptionist change my mid-week Grouon deal to a weekend deal for a small charge? Just asking) John from Newry.
