Booked this as a last minute night away with himself and was delighted from start to finish and wished it was longer. From the minute we arrived we couldn't have asked for anything more. It was the UK August Bank Holiday and they were fully booked for a wedding the next day, obviously they were very busy but it felt like the hotel was empty, it was that calm. We had dinner in the bar as the Old Church Restaurant (on the next stay its a must) and it was so quick and efficient, the service was as fast as lightning and it did not affect the food in any way! The rooms are first class and so clean with really fast wifi. We had breakfast in the Old Church the next morning and again nothing could be faulted. We opted to check out early as the wedding party were starting to move about but next time we will do a longer stay. Approx half way between Derry and Letterkenny, with I believe lots to see in the area. Staff were first class and so obliging been though they were clearly swamped with patrons. Compliments to the management on a fantastically run operation!

Front desk ladies were very friendly and helpful. we were weary when we arrived so stayed in for a rrelaxed pub supper in the bar, where the food and service were very good. Comfortable rooms, good home base for exploring from Glenveagh to the Giant's Causeway. Restaurant excellent, breakfasts very good, décor pleasing.
There were no mattress pads on our beds, and sheets were thin, so we used extra bath towels gotten from the housekeeping supply room which was open but not tended. couldn't get the towel bar radiator to work, but enjoyed a bath anyway.
We stayed 2 nights and were glad for the ample parking and the bathtub space to do some light laundry...found a local laundry with quite reasonable prices for the heavier pieces.

Room Tip: Be sure to get a room on the back of the building... no road noise.

My husband and I are just back from our third stay in this hotel, twice in two weeks, and we just love it. The staff are very friendly and nothing is a bother to them. The food is beautiful and the service excellent. The bar staff are quite young, but always take the time to have a quick chat about your day and always show an interest in what your interests are. Just booked our next stay for new year.

Cannot fault this Hotel at all! - Everything from friendly staff, superb food, excellent decor to a large comfy bed! The old church Restaurant was really impressive - the evening meal was first rate - even free appetizers and sorbet between courses. Service excellent. Breakfast was also served in this lovely restaurant, buffet only for juice and cereal, your cooked breakfast chosen from a menu and served was superb. Staff very friendly and could not do enough to help you.
Thoroughly recommend this hotel. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather, and the gardens and grounds are lovely. Buncrana beach was not far and is perfect for a lovely walk. We had an excellent relaxing weekend, and the Hotel had a wedding on the Friday and Saturday, and was busy, so all the staff were working hard - just goes to show that it costs nothing to give a smile! Full Marks.

Room Tip: We had a ground floor room - even though two weddings took place during our stay, the rooms are far enough away from function rooms, we heard nothing.

We really enjoyed our two nights here. Being located just a few kilometres outside Derry, it allowed us ready access to the surrounding area without fighting city traffic. We used it as a base to explore the countryside north of Donegal.
Our ground floor double room was very spacious and the bathroom was ideal for someone with impaired mobility. Breakfast is served in part of an old church; an unusual but attractive setting. Our full cooked Irish breakfasts were tasty and generous, setting us up nicely for long day outings. Rachel, who seemed to be in charge here, was a delightful hostess. We also enjoyed a couple of light early evening meals in the bar nearby - these too were tasty, good value and arrived soon after ordering.
There was abundant on-site car parking. As a bonus, there is a stone ring fort in very good condition on top of the hill behind the hotel. It's only a very short drive and there are uninterrupted views of the surrounding area.
