“lovely relaxing week-end.”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Lovely clean and comfortable hotel situated in a beautiful part of Donegal. We ate here on the first night as we arrived after tea time - the food was so good and such good value we wouldn't have eaten anywhere else on the second night. Breakfasts were excellent-cooked to order using good quality produce. There was music on the Saturday night in the bar which we enjoyed very much. The service throughout the week-end was second to none. Many thanks to Pauline and all the staff - we look forward to returning soon. Naomi and Leo.

Had a lovely two night stay in this hotel with my friend Margaret. The friendliness of every person working here was so warming. Food was excellent. The scenery was breath taking. Would highly recommend this hotel. Will definitely be back here again.

We stayed for two nights and were very impressed by the friendliness of the staff and cleanliness of the hotel. The food was good, (and we were offered a choice of wine!!) the craic in the bar was excellent - even on a Monday - and all in all the value for money was second to none. We will be back.

Overall I would have to say we were disappointing. They are trying hard but too many things are very average or below. Young and friendly staff. Room is just ok with the furniture very dated - almost bedsit style! Breakfast was very limited - no grapefruit juice on both mornings, no fruit, no yoghurt and poor choice of cereals. Evening dinner was poor - overdone lamb chops and mediocre chowder. Our deal included a bottle of wine (close your eyes) - a bottle of Black Tower red!!!!
No evening music - the band had pulled out (maybe it was just that it was Sept)
No heat on 2nd night - they gave us a portable heater. There was an oil lorry outside the next morning. Wouldn't go back.

Room Tip: Go to Caisleain Oir in Annagry!

It is only a small Hotel but the staff are so friendly and helpful. You are made to feel at home right way. The food was excellent and the menu had a good variety. My wife and myself were there for a 2 night B & B and 1 Evening meal deal this weekend and we would definitely go back another time in the future.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea facing room

We are just back from our weekend away and we couldn't have asked for better. The hotel was warm and friendly as were the staff and the food was fab from the bar food to the restaurant food and great value too. Thanks a million to all the staff and hope to visit again. Greg and Val from Dublin.
