Kfar Haruv Peace Vista Lodge
Reviewed October 31, 2013

We stayed in room 30 which was an upgrade provided by us from OAT because we had traveled with them 5 times. We had a huge room with jacuzzi all on one floor and a marvelous view of the Sea of Galilee. In the morning we got more food than we could eat, so I put some in the fridge and covered the bread with a napkin and put it on the shelf. They took the bread which doesn't seem like much but I had saved the cream cheese for the bread for our appetizer in our room with drinks in the evening. I'm sure if I would have called them they would have brought down more. However, there is no phone and it's a long walk to the office. The wine, nuts, fruit, coke, and water were all there when we checked in the first day. Not many places give you a bottle of wine.

We were there with our family in 4 cabins. The place is very nice, clean and spacious. The view is outstanding. Perfect for families with children. The pool is beautifull but you have to walk 350 meters. Breakfast is huge and good. Not many restaurants in this part of the Golan.

Room Tip: . A cabin in the 1st row is a lot nicer so try to have one of them

Our traveling party of 8 stayed at Mitzpe HaShalom at Kfar Haruv for 4 nights. Everything about the stay was wonderful. Peaceful morning hikes and amazing breakfasts on our front porch to start the day and sunsets over Kinneret to end the day. Our kids (11 and 13) loved sleeping in the loft of our cabin which was very clean and comfortable.
We were fortunate enough to have our guide hook us up with a family that lives on Kfar Haruv and they gave us a tour of the Kibbutz and insight into their life there.
We were able to visit sights all over the Golan and upper Galilee during our day trips and our guide also took us to some nice places to eat within 20-30 minute drives as after the first night we were not excited to return to the onsite restaurant for dinner.
Would recommend a stay without hesitation!

Room Tip: Ask for a room closest to the cliff (low numbered rooms)

We stayed hear with our children for the second time. This is one of the most beautiful places in Israel with a breath taking view of the See Of Galilee. The village is right next to Kibutz Kefar Haruv, which owns the place. It has about 25 holiday cabins that can accommodate up to 6 people each. It is located on the eastern side if the kineret - See of Galilee, on the Cliff. The first line of cabins has an amazing view to Tiberius (Tveria) and the the lake and surrounding mountains. Thy also have spa rooms for couples only The place is a perfect base to explore The Golan Heights and the See Of Galilee area. I would highly recommend this place to families and couples.

I stayed and volunteered for kfar charuv kibbutz in 1989 is this the same? Can't believe it's expansion for holiday makers but if this is the same place I would highly recommend for the fantastic views and the friendliness of the people who live there - such s lovely place would love to go back and visit where I spent as a young girl can't believe how lucky people are to go there I know I was!!!!

We were not positive what "cabins" would mean, but we were very pleasantly surprised. In our group, each couple had a separate cabin. The cabin had a combination living/dining/kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom with Jacuzzi, and a loft. Free WiFi was available. TV did not include any English language news channels. The views to the Sea of Galilee were great; there's a walk along the cliff with great views; breakfast was brought to each cabin and was more than we could begin to eat - just about enough to make supper, too. As with other accommodations in Israel, the duvets were too short, so we had to use a fleece jacket for our upper torso.

Set on a cliff overlooking the Sea of Galilee, Mount Hermon, and the Jordan Valley, the Peace Vista Lodge in the Golan Heights or Kfar Haruv Kibbutz was a special treat. We were part of an Overseas Adventure Travel group and were in need of some rest and relaxation after a busy tour itinerary. The Peace Vista Lodge delivered in spades. Our cabins were “ocean front” with a fabulous view of the Sea of Galilee during the day and the lights of Tiberius in the evening. Add to that wonderful complimentary wines in the evening and a huge breakfast in the morning and you have a winning combination. It was a welcome refuge and the starting point of more religious sightseeing around the Sea of Galilee. We happened to land there on Roshashana and were welcomed by members of the Kibbutz with open arms. What a treat and cultural opportunity to be in Israel during this holiday.

The cabins are phenomeal - fully stocked with a separate bedroom, kitchen, upstairs area with mattresses for the kids, an outside patio and a bathroom with a jacuzzi tub/shower. Both the airconditioning and WiFi are excellent. Not always the case in Israeli hotels. Flat screen TV's grace the front room and there is a fully stocked kitchen. Each of the cabins has a kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, utensils, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. This is a perfect place for a family get away

This place was hard to leave for our little group. We spent the early mornings walking and admiring the phenomenal view returning to our respective decks to enjoy the view and our huge breakfast basket of goodies. On or final evening we had a group dinner utilizing our patio furniture on the lawn with our ocean front view of the lights of Tiberious enjoying our wine and hors de houvres. Just writing this review brings a little smile to my face remembering this wonderful experience. The pictures don't do it justice. This is a very special place with people who are really interested in providing a wonderful vacation experience.

Dont' hesitate to book here. You won't be sorry!

.

Room Tip: Get an "ocean front" cabin. Not to be missed
