We spent around 30 minutes at the site in total, some lovely views but watch out for monkeys. Lots of tourists but free entry. At the entrance there is free material that you can borrow so that you can cover up your shoulders and/or knees, simply return as you exit.

You can get amazing pictures here because the view is amazing. You can spend 1h here and you can see everything. We got our hotel transfer for 700baht for 2 people both ways and we had a great time! You can be blessed there and they will offer a bracelet.

Quite a long way to go to see a half finished Buddha... size is impressive but not a lot there.
Nowhere to eat and toilets no paper or soap.
Sexist signs everywhere telling women to cover arms and legs , but men walking around in shorts and tank tops .

Seeing the Big Buddha in person was an enlightening experience. It felt so spiritual and welcoming. Something you must do! The view is absolutely amazing.

We chartered a shuttle there from Centara grand resort and 30 mins away. We arrived and got enjoy the view for a couple mins before it started raining super hard and we all had to run inside the statue for shelter. They were having a Buddhist prayer/song session in side so we go to sit in on that for 20 mins until the rain subsided. It was a very cool experience. Went back outside and got some pictures and were on our way. The structure is awesome and there’s lots of vendors to buy for and souvenirs from. You MUST visit here when in Phuket.
