“Perfect for those seeking some Zolitude”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2014 via mobile

A truly serene resort near Chalong. About a 40-50 min ride from Phuket airport depending on traffic. The hotel is located in a remote part of Chalong. First, since the resort is set on a hill, the hotel will shuttle you around on little quasi tuk-tuk vehicles. Taxi dropped us off and our bags were secured by the front staff and they quickly escorted us into the tuk-tuk shuttle, after a 2 min ride uphill, we were greeted by the receptionist at the check in area with a nice cool towel and an beverage. Check-in staff took us on a brief tour of the grounds (pool, restaurant, etc.). Then we were escorted back into the shuttle for the 2 min ride to our room. Our room was on the edge of the property so it was very secluded. First glimpse of the private pool and I was in love. The living area flowed right into the bedroom and a nicely appointed double-vanity bathroom (wife liked that very much). The climate control right by the bed was handy and the AC was strong. As great as the private pool was, we found ourselves in the main infinity pool more than often, it was a great length for swimming. Mosquitoes were not that bad, the resort provides mosquito repellant lotion, mosquito repellant devices and candles, so there was a strong effort by the resort to alleviate the mosquito bites. Each villa has a DVD player and there was a great variety of DVDs to borrow from check-in. We got a massage at the spa and it was great, the masseuse was great and the setting/decor was very serene. Only downside is the lack of a true fitness center, there is a weight machine and a stationary bike, nothing more. We ate breakfast at the restaurant daily and the food was good. We dined in the restaurant for dinner and also ordered room service. We stuck with the Thai food, something just doesn't sit well with ordering pizza in Thailand. I'm glad to say the Thai food we ordered was good, it's your run-of-the-mill Thai food and it worked, nothing crazily creative or innovative is offered. The resort provides a shuttle service into two different parts of the island, one to the Central Mall (western style mall with lots of stores, lots of restaurants, a small food court evoking MBK, a movie theater, and a supermarket). The other shuttle takes you to Nai Harn beach.

The remoteness of the resort might turn some people off, it was at least a mile walk to the main road where there's the occasional day/night market. Most nights, when we ventured out, we took a taxi arranged by the hotel (usually 800 baht) where the driver drops you off and waits while you dine and wine.

All in all, a great place to get away from the craziness of Phuket and just enjoy the sounds of nature (plenty of roosters and cicadas). Special shout-out to "Boy" who was so informative and helpful with every question and request.

Let me start by saying, I'm an inspector in the US by profession so I went into this resort looking for flaws, subconsciously. I selected this resort solely off the "RAVNG REVIEWS". Need I say, I was sadly disappointed that this resort was PERFECT!!! My opinion of Villa Zolitude started prior to us landing. I had numerous questions and personal request that Siripen (mgr) assured me wouldn't be a problem; and they held their end of the bargain without a shout of doubt!!! When we exited the plan (with me in wheelchair, due to a recently healed broken ankle), they provided us with a personal driver, holding a sign with our names on it. Which was comforting to us, because the airport was a bit of a cultural shock for me.
The resort is about a 45min drive from the airport and I thought he was driving us to the middle of the jungle, up in the Chalong Mountains; then suddenly, this immaculate & beautiful resort appears. It was a 26hour flight to get there from the US, but well worth it. We arrived at 1:30 in the morning and they greeted us with cool towels with scents of lavender & jasmine, along with organic exotic fruit tea, freshly brewed & chilled. It was late; they knew it and they packed us a late night salmon sandwich and chips (nice touch). They wouldn't allow us to lift a bag and wouldn't accept a tip that night!
Our personal favorite contact was a young man name "Boy"....he was a true asset to Villa Zolitude..consistenly aming to please us...although the entire staff along with the Mgr Bus, provided us with impeccable service, "Boy, Siripen and Bus" truly went the extra mile. Because of Boy, we're bringing the children back!!
Bus came to visit with us every morning at breakfast and he remembered our names, which always receives a star in my book. This staff even arranged for birthday décor in our Pool Villa for my husband... I didn't even tell them to do this..it had barely passed & they had "belated"..how cute!! All of the Pool Villas are wonderful with serene & relaxing views but villas in the 4XX are the best, especially 408 if you like to see the sunrise float above the mountains. But don't get me wrong we stayed in a Villa in the 3XX and it was nice also. I had one small problem, I called Bus and he was allllllll over the problem within minutes. He came from home to handle this. I almost felt bad because he and his staff was so apologetic and it was something so small that the average person might have ignored, but I'm a inspector by trade keep in mind. Things to consider: 1. it's in the jungle-they provide insect replant, but carry some. The view of the exotic jungle is worth it. They have these cricket like bugs, in the trees that chrup loudly every morning at 6am on the dot; then stop...hahaha, we soon toned them out. 2. Secluded from the tourist and loud noise but they provide transportation to the beach and family marts.3. If you plan on staying in your villa-go ahead and get the Pool Villa or Grand Pool Villa and take your CD or Movies...they have a nice selection but you know what you like. Request the rooms higher up 4XX or 3XX. Stop at the ATM at the FamilyMarts not the Airports or 7-11 higher fees and you must take the VZ Cooking Class, Get a VZ Massage at the Spa and go to the Safari to trek on the elephants...This place will make you fall in love all over again!!!
O, and one last thing... I read earlier that the English they speak isn't clear..people get real... English is their 2nd or 3rd language in most cases....take some initiative pick up a book, learn about the customs and their language, stop being so lazy!! We've traveled the world and it was much better than Paris & Africa!!! They spoke very well to me, we understood with no problem...
Thank you Villa Zolutide for a wonderful experience, see you again soon!

Room Tip: Go for rooms higher up like 4XX corners(408 is the best room), then go for the 3XX.

This place is the epitome of romance. My boyfriend and I spent Valentine's Day here and we loved every single moment. Initially we decided on maybe doing a day trip to town but we loved our villa so much that we ended up staying the entire time. The staff were so friendly and so accommodating! Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a yummy tamarind juice and a refreshing cold jasmine towel. We took their Thai cooking classes (which we highly recommend), used their spa services (which are a little pricey even with the 30% discount), but it was so worth it. We only read positive reviews about this place prior to our trip so our expectations were really high, but suffice to say we were definitely blown away! Highly recommend this place, and we look forward to coming back!

for those who looking for a romantic hideout and rest i would recommend this resort. The villa is situated on the hilltop with surrounding green and own pool for leisure. too bad that they dun have a fitness center or i would rated it as 5star. breakfast was good but it can be improved. transportation out can be easily arrange with the front desk. taxi charges for daily trip is reasonable ( about 1500 for about 5h ) and Patong beach is not too far away.. the night view is amazing and relaxing . i did try a great restaurant in the arch .. this the best so far in phuket although abit pricey but u must try the food there. it is great!!!

lastly i would advise pick your room for better view and of course u need to book earlier.
i overall happy for the villa.

I definitely recommend Villa Zolitude as a place for couples who want a romantic getaway and families who want to avoid the crowds at beach based resorts.

The villas are beautiful and perfectly sized for couples who want a romantic getaway. It is quiet, secluded and you have amazing views of Chalong.

The staff are amazing, they're friendly and always greet you with a smile when they see you, not to mention that they're more than willing to get you anything that you ask for.

I've read in previous reviews that the photos aren't accurate or that the staff do not speak english. Both of these are incorrect.
1. The photos are a perfect representation of the villas, infact they can't show you how beautiful the villas are unless you have been there.

2. The staff speak English well enough to understand what you require - one must remember that english is not their 1st language and rather than be rude, pick up a Thai phrase book and learn some basic Thai phrases.

There are quite a few stairs to go up (depending on which villa you book - we had the deluxe pool villa) however, reception are happy to send someone in one of the resort vehicles to pick you up and take you to either reception or the spa etc.

The facilities are second to none, the spa - what a treat! The only thing I can say that accurately sums up my feelings is that the entire place is immaculate. The staff are always cleaning, everything is clean. I've stayed at many hotels and Villa Zolitude by far outdoes any of the 5 star western hotels.

Thank you to the staff at Villa Zolitude for making my stay an amazing one. I've already started planning my next trip to Phuket and will definitely be staying at Villa Zolitude again. I will also be recommending Villa Zolitude to friends and family who are planning on holidaying in Phuket.

The web pictures portray the resort very accurately, the place is stunning.
The Villas are huge with a good size pool.
Great for a short getaway where you want to do absolutely nothing.
The place is remote but the staff are so willing to you anywhere with a smile.
The only resuturant / bar 180 is OK the quality of the food does not portray the quality of the resort, I think maybe a little more training would bring it up to a 5 Star restaurant.
Only two negatives:-
1. My wife recently broke her ankle and found it tough at times walking up the 6 flights of stairs to our villa ( Which is very private )
2. Directly below our bed is some sort of generator that starts up every so often and runs for an hour or so several times in the middle of the night, the who bed vibrates with it, like a loud buzzing, not good for a quite sleep.

Room Tip: 1. My wife recently broke her ankle and found it tough at times walking up the 6 flights of stairs t...

I was there in November 2013.

Serene and pristine resort in the mountains. Perfect for those seeking the quiet life away from the buzz. Its secluded and would require taxi trips to get out.

The newly opened homestay near Villa Zolitude also offered free transport to their restaurant and the night view there was picturesque as you will have an overview of Chalong and night lights.

pictures shown here are pretty much true to what you will find in real life :)

Nice spread in morning buffet as well. The only downside is that food is limited when you are secluded up there. however, i value the serenity more :)
