“Fabulous house in beautiful setting”
Reviewed July 18, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We stayed in Heron's Cove in July 2015 . we had a wonderful holiday despite mixed weather . the house is very pretty in a beautiful peaceful location but only minutes from Bakkydehob and close to , Schulll, Bantry and Barley Cove etc.It was very child friendly and spotless . really well equipped with full kitchen, utensils, towels, bedding Tv etc and lovely cosy wood burner for cooler evenings. Kathleen is adorable and couldn't of been more helpful or welcoming. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend to anyone as a great base for exploring the beautiful West Cork

“a little bit of heaven!”
Reviewed July 12, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

If you love flowers, bumble bees ,birdsong and wildlife with spectacular scenery this is a must. we were welcomed by the owners Kathleen and Tony on arrival. the cottage itself was the most charming cottage ive ever been in. Surrounded by roses, lavender and honeysuckle It was like a chocolate box cover. if you love peace and quiet this place is a must although you will be disturbed by birds singing, bees buzzing and the occasional moo of a cow! I would advise any one reading this review to click on herons cove cottage to see how beautiful it is. Thank you Kathleen for your thoughtfulness in leaving us a welcome hamper of delicious bread and other goodies. We definitely will be back someday.

“Lovely house in idyllic surroundings”
Reviewed June 28, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We spent a very peaceful and sunny week in Herons Cove. The terrace is wonderful to sit, have a cup of tea and enjoy the landscape and the view to the bay. The house is very spacious and technically well equipped. It´s perfect to make trips to Sheeps Head or Mizen Head and the walks along the coast are very beautiful.

“Return visit just as good as the first time”
Reviewed June 18, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We stayed at Herons Cove Cottage last year and were so happy we came back again this year. The house is perfect, very private and the setting is stunning. It has its own access to a private little cove where we enjoyed watching the wildlife and just soaking in the ambience.

Its a great base for local sightseeing and Ballydehob is only 4 kms with its lovely cafes and restaurants.

All round a great venue, a most enjoyable holiday and we would highly recommend this lovely cottage.

“Heron Cove Cottage and its location are faultless.”
Reviewed May 5, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

The whole experience was great. The owner communicates well and meets you to take you to cottage. The cottage itself is like something out of Ideal Homes and the views are spectacular with access to the Cove.

“A warm welcome and an outstandingly breathtakingly beautiful view.”
Reviewed March 21, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Kathleen & Tony are warm, generous and delightful. Nothing is too much trouble. You are met by Kathleen or Tony in Ballydehob as the cottage is not on the map.... Do not be put off by this, the country lanes are small and interesting and it is well worth the journey.

The views over the cove are incredible, the beauty of the area is breathtakingly stunning, you will never tire of it. Take binoculars with you to see the seals and wading birds that frequent the area.
The cottage is homely and cosy especially with the log burner working.
The local area is a must to explore. We found everyone to be warm, friendly and welcoming.
If you like walking go to the Sheeps Head Peninsula, go prepared as the weather can change rapidly. This one of a very few walking areas as there are NO public rights of way across the land. - you can walk on the roads.
The cottage is an idyllic retreat away from the hustle of modern life.

“Lovely and quiet”
Reviewed January 23, 2015 for a stay in January 2015

A lovely warm welcome from Kathleen, and the house was beautifully quiet in a lovely position. Fresh made food from Hudsons cafe in the village, and plenty of wood on the wood burner made the Winter evenings in the house cosy.
