Had brekkie here- croissant and coffee- Good value, slow service, Was impressed by the hard working chef preparing food for evening, so came to dinner.
We had scallops and hapuka.
Scallops - 20 of them- were superb: juicy, had the pink roe on. Delicious salad.
Baked hapuka with kumera mash and vegetables - delicious. fish was perfectly cooked, mash was a really good , beans cooked al dente they should be!
Only let down was the crème caramel- an off night! Wasn't cooked properly - runny custard at bottom of dish. But no problem, waitress took it back, brought us another one- the same. So no charge for that. The gelato - home made- was really good. BYO was appreciated.
