What a wonderful week we had in this lovely home. It is decorated to a very high standard of comfort and the owner has really thought about what holiday makers need and want - a real home from home.
The location couldn't be better either, with views across to Tromra castle, topped with 180 degree sea views allowing you to gaze at the magnificent sunsets from the conservatory. Seafield beach and pier are all within walking distance. On an evening stroll you get to see the House martins darting in an out of their nesting holes in the raised sand dunes.
And of course, no visit to Ireland is complete without sampling the Black gold,(which let's face it) doesn't taste the same anywhere else other than in Ireland, then a short walk away (300-400 metres) is Daly's Bar. Totally unspoilt, full of charm and well worth a visit.
Quilty is full of history too. It's everywhere from the Peel Tower of Tromra Castle, the Bell from the ship-wrecked Leon X111 to the ruined 12th century church in Kilmurry which was attacked in 1665 and the roof stripped by Cromwell's soldiers.
If you want to dine out, there are plenty of places to eat within a short drive. Everyone must try the scones at the Bellbridge Hotel,Spanish Point, they are the best ever!
To cap it all, we had a fantastic weather for the entire stay.
Cannot wait to return!
