“The perfect B&B for a peaceful, relaxing stay”
Reviewed June 5, 2012

I recently had the good fortune to stay at Seacrest B&B in the charming West Clare town of Quilty. The owner, Angela, was the perfect hostess with clean, comfortable rooms (with view of the Atlantic) and a great variety for breakfast. I used that as my base to visit The Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, Milltown Mably, Spanish Point to the north and Doonbeg (very nice pub, "Tubridy's") and all the way to Loop Head and the lighthouse to the south. This place is the best !!!

My wife and I were recently invited to a wedding at Spanish Point and we stayed in the Seacrest for 4 nights with another couple who were old friends. The four of us had a fabulous mini holiday together and whilst the wedding was obviously the highlight of the holiday, our stay at the Seacrest comes a very close second place. From the moment we arrived until the moment we regrettably left, Angela and Kevin made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. They gave us lots of sightseeing advice about the local area and every morning we were greeted with an open fire in the dining room (there's something cosy and relaxing about an open fire isn't there) and a superb breakfast. Angela gave us front door keys so that we could come and go when we liked which was very useful as most of our nights were late (thanks to Mr Guinness!!!) The rooms were ensuite, centrally heated, and spotless with TV. I would highly recommend this B & B to anybody who is planning to visit the area.

We travelled from England via Shannon Airport to Quilty with Friends to attend a Wedding at Spanish Point. We were made very welcome by Angela and our rooms were first rate. The breakfast, a full Irish, was very nice and set you up for the day. The location is a Farmhous, very quiet and we had a very comfortable bed and slept soundly every night. A warm friendly open fire kept you nice and warm while you had your breakfast and a lounge is available for you to relax in with some music and views. What more can you want, we will definitely be returning.

We had a wedding in the Spanish Armada and found it too expensive to stay in hotel. Booked Sea Crest for two nights. Warm welcome from Angela, fabulous location just 9 mins drive from hotel. All mod cons in room. Very cosy and comfortable and real homely. Breakfast on both mornings were delicious and the fire in the dining room was delightful. Terrific value for money. Also it was a really sunny weekend and the views and scenery during breakfast were magnicifent. I would recommend this to anyone and compliment and thank Angela for a great break.

We stayed at the Sea Crest B&B for six nights with our two children. What an excellent find! We had a beautiful, spacious and very clean family room with lovely views. The room was spotless and we had plenty of space even with an extra bed put in. The cooked Irish breakfast was superb - thank you Angela! The children loved the farm animals, especially Lizzie & Sandy, the donkeys! The highlight of our children's holiday in Ireland was staying on the farm, feeding the donkeys, seeing the cows being milked and our little boy just loved seeing the tractor - thank you so much Kevin!!

I would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone (families, couples, solo travellers). There are lots of things to do in the area. We went dolphin watching, visited the Cliffs of Moher and enjoyed the lovely sandy beach (only 5 mins drive away) at Spanish Point with a pitch & put next to the beach with fantastic views!

We felt a little sad having to leave Sea Crest (& the donkeys!) behind. If we were visiting that part of Ireland again, we would definitely return to Sea Crest!

Thank you Angela & Kevin for making it a truly relaxing and memorable break!

We came for the Willie Clancy Summer School. While the centrally located B&Bs were in the midst of the all-night parties, Seacrest Farmhouse was serene all night, so we got to our music classes refreshed by a good night's sleep. Rooms were clean and our bed was comfortable. Breakfast, included in the very fair room rate, was delicious and plentiful, and our hosts were helpful in numerous ways.

Room Tip: If you do not have a car, be aware that a taxi to Milltown Malbay runs about 8 euros.

We traveled to Quilty directly from Shannon Airport. The location is a little out of the way, although it is convenient to the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren and very close to Milltown Malbay. Angela Morrissey made the drive worth it. She a warm and caring hostess who keeps Sea Crest Farmhouse in impeccable condition. The rooms are attractive and comfortable, and everything is spotlessly clean. Breakfast was hearty and very tasty. It's a great place to stay.
