“Love this place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2013

Have been living in north county Dublin for 7 yrs, and (discovered) the Harbour last March. We have been quite a few times since then, and it does not disappoint. Good homemade cuisine at its best and very reasonably priced.

“Good food, friendly atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2013

Went to this Bar first time last weekend for a late lunch and I wasn't disappointed.
I was positively shocked when my starter arrived, chicken wings, the portion was huge! In other places, usually you get little wings, and few of them. What I got was a huge plate of wings! And wings were truly delicious!
For main we had a beef and lasagna, and again a big surprise, we got big portions, two big slices of beef and big plate of lasagna. I didn't expect that.
Very good food, good quality and very tasty!
Atmosphere in the Bar is very friendly, staff is very nice and helpful.
We had a very good time there and enjoyed our food.
I can recommend this Bar, it is good place to eat and meet friends and family.
Good food for a good value.
And there is a beach just around a corner, so after nice meal you can enjoy little walk :)

“Hit and miss, could do a lot better...”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2013

Have eaten here on a few occasions, food has either been very good, or very bad. Steaks are usually the best around but the seafood can be a bit of a lottery! Toilets let this place down terribly though, particularly in the bar. Not a nice experience while dining!
Owner here wouldn't win an award for his people skills either, could do a lot better!
Atmosphere is usually good on busy weekend nights though and the Guinness is normally tops, but if you're looking for a pub that serves quality fresh grub in a clean environment - I'd be giving the Harbour Bar a miss!

“Nice meal, cute setting”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2013

Went here for dinner with a friend recently who lives locally. The smell and feel of the sea nearby was lovely. Inside it's a cute quaint pub atmosphere. THe menu isn't necessarily fancy, but the food was good. I had the parsnip soup and chicken wings. Nice for a casual meal experience.

“Steak n Stone”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2013

I have eaten here twice whilst visiting Dublin (bit of a drive but well worth it) - once for lunch (fish and chips) which was really good and the last time as an evening meal.........Steak n Stone......oh yes please!

Coming with a variety of dips and a good portion of mushrooms and chips the cut of beef was a decent one. The heat was a little hard to take as there were 3 of these on our table on a warm summer evening but my god it was delicious.

Staff are friendly and polite and the black stuff flowed down well. We sampled a few starters too.......tempura prawns and chicken wings in chilli served with blue cheese - both excellent.

Overall great boozer, fantastic food and great setting
