It is a sacred place for Romanians, no disrespect, but it was extremely crowded from the parking lot all the way up to the tomb.
Many people come just out of curiosity in large groups, loud kids yelling and running around. I get it, it is a holly place but I found it a little commercial.

The location itself is beautiful located in the heart of the nature.
But what is going around is unbelievable. Plenty of gypsies al around selling photos, icons and other specific things with the image of Arsenie Boca, which are not even approved by the Romanian church.
Going to see the grave of Arsenie in a opd cemetery, you will find a very long line of people going to find a miracle. Also it is disturbing the presence of the bodyguards who hurries you up to go from there very very fast and are also rude at times. A very promoted place, a money maker that makes you go with a bitter taste and it’s not about religion any more!

The overall experience was average mostly because of all the people there. Everything there was designed to be sold to the people visiting. The place is beautiful, nice design and could be enjoyable too but not in high season. The road there is really bad too.

The drive extremely hard due to road works. The location is beautiful. Buildings, church and bell: original architecture,
Crowds of pilgrims. Commercial character of the place is exaggerated and can disturb people who come to pray and meditate

Beautiful and peaceful place, however crowded due to the thousands of pilgrims visiting the grave of Arsenie Boca, a well known Romanian Orthodox monk who died in 1989. Apart from the beautiful and well maintained nuns houses and the nice church, there are a couple of places worth seeing. Firstly, the bell tower raised on natural stones and secondly the monastic cell dug in the mountain by a monk. It is said that the monk was accidentally shot dead by a hunter in the 15th or 16th century.

There is a large road to the monastery, however very dusty as it is not a sealed road. There are plenty of parking places within walking distance from the monastery.
