We found this place listed in Lonely Planet and called them while touring Lago Dos Bocas by boat. Luckily, they had a cabin available for the evening, so we reserved the room and took down the directions (a good idea, since getting there is a bit complicated). After a drive up a twisty mountain road and past some small family coffee plantations, we arrived at a quiet hollow surrounded by limestone walls covered in jungle vines. Joan (or Juana) opened the gate and showed us the pool, fruit/vegetable garden, and restaurant, as well as our lovely cabin, with its wide windows and screened porch. After a welcome drink, we gave her our order for dinner, which Tony was starting to put together with produce grown on site, and dressed for a dip in the pool. The jacuzzi has jets and cool water, which was pleasant in the warm afternoon, but a bit of a surprise if you're expecting a hot tub. Our hosts were pleasant and outgoing, the dinner and breakfast were delicious, the grounds were lovely, and the experience was incredibly relaxing, being lulled to sleep by coqui frogs and owls after enjoying a round of Scrabble on the restaurant's terrace. We enjoyed our stay there so much, we regretted only giving it one night, and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for accommodations in the area.
