Should be aware that there are high waves and strong currents in this beach, the ocean view is awesome but the area is not clean and beachgoers attitude is not the best. There are no showers or restrooms available and there is no security for your car.

I saw this beach from atop Arecibo's lighthouse. There were people surfing there, so I checked it out from the ground level. The parking area is riddled with deep holes (and is unpaved), and there wasn't a changing area so I couldn't stay. There is a beautiful mural there & all-in-all it looked like mostly locals there, especially since there are no restaurants around. Locals were grilling on their own BBQs. Looked like a good time!

There's not much for shade though!
