I am just looking at Christmas holiday photos and video, and reflecting on the amazing things we did and saw on our return trip to SA. But I think this really was an absolute highlight. We'd had a really disappointing wildlife trip elsewhere earlier in the week, and therefore were a little tentative - however a colleague of my husband who knows the area well had recommended it, and urged we did the walk.
Well! It was just stunning. We had the most gorgeous day, and went in the late afternoon, following an excellent personally-guided trip (1:4 ratio). Another couple walked with the other cheetah. The guides did everything they could to help us get group photos as we walked along.
We met the family afterwards who run this excellent establishment. They were keen to know if we'd had a good visit.
To observe and photograph at close quarters such a variety of well-kept cats, was simply stunning, and despite the fences, it never felt "zoo-like" maybe because of the arid location and bush.
Very well done. ;-)
