For us, this place never fails to delight!! You won't go wrong no matter what your tastes are (okay they don't do Indian or Chinese food but its not solely Italian fare either). Joanna, Camilla, Nicole, Cosmin & the crew along with Rudi put such effort into a friendly welcome .. and the chefs into their 'Pollo Angelo' etc. Our kids love it here ...and himself won't eat anywhere else (despite working in town close to some well known restaurants!!). The Sat night ambience, music (great guy on piano) & decor all add up to a romantic/yet casual/yet family/ yet 'quiet corner' type of eatery - my friend enjoyed a gluten free 3 course meal with us recently without too much restriction, my hubby's "big" birthday was celebrated here, our son's confirmation group enjoyed lunch here - you wont be disappointed whether you are local, staying at Crowne Plaza, are Coeliac, Vegetarian or otherwise, they will do everything to make your meal enjoyable, just ask. Midweek or weekend Maximilians doesn't disappoint. Hse wine is good but heck there are some serious grapes behind that counter if celebrating! Late into the evening Rudi will even 'play' the piano for u!!! Well done to all, we'll be eating here for years to come!!

Have been a few times and have never been disappointed. This was the first Friday evening. At 6.30pm it was packed and buzzing with atmosphere. Staff were happy & friendly. Excellent choice on menu and food was hot & tasty. I always look forward to going to this restaurant. We didn't leave until 9.30pm and there was no rush to move away from our table despite the restaurant been very busy.

Booked table for four. Starters very small but the lack of food on the plate on main course really startling. The very smallest portion of veg,if you dont like parmasan mash your in trouble, fish portion tiny, one of the party has chicken, which was very overcooked and on telling the waitress was offered a free dessert. Another had the early bird and also had the chicken but it was less than half the size of the one from main menu, yet the cost was not that great a difference. The staff were good, decor lovely but really bad value.Veg are not expensive and really they are a part of a main course. We all felt it was pretty poor value. Would not hurry back..

My first review in Tripadvisor ever but Maximilians deserves it! Have been there a few times lately and never been disappointed. The staff is very attentive and friendly. No matter if you are there with your husband or a bunch of girls: Rudi always has time for a little chat to make the guests feel special! The interior of the place is beautiful (what a change to approx. 10 years ago!!!). Food is great and beautifully presented with the two chicken main courses probably my favourites so far!! Looking forward to my next visit already!!

We at here last weekend as it was our first trip away as a family with a newborn who is only 5 weeks. We wanted somewhere that was child friendly, especially because we had the little guy in his car seat.

When we arrived, the staff we're prompt in greeting us and asking about the baby, and being extremely friendly. We were then told that they would clear a table by the window on the couches as it would allow more room for the car seat so we could have the baby next to my partner.

The service here is outstanding, every little thing is noticed and theres quite a lot of attention to detail.

The food here is absolutely divine, had the buffalo wings as a starter as did my partner and was enjoyed by both.

We both had pasta dishes for our main, both were cooked to perfection and the flavours were bursting with each bite.

The interior decor of the restaurant is very modern, chic and welcoming.

I'd definitely return again when visiting the area and highly recommend.
