“Lovely break”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2013

We stayed here for one night visiting family in the area,it was a lovely break, the room was large and had the most comfortable beds, the bathroom had a fantastic large shower and was well supplied with toiletries,we were overllooking the nearby shopping centre which was so convenient, the staff were very friendly and check in and out was very fast,we didn't eat here at all as we were visiting family so can't comment on the food, but we did have a drink in the bar which was very pleasant and there was live music which was a plus,we will definitely stay here again.

We stayed in this hotel to celebrate a special date - we were absolutely thrilled by the amount of attention we got!!

Receptionists were really friendly and helpful, there was a complimentary bottle of prosecco in the room, we had fantastic time in the restaurant, all the staff were really knowledgeable and attentive, food was good and prices were quite reasonable too!

Thank you so much for such a lovely stay!

We stayed here last weekend and was pleasantly surprised on arrival. The hotel is tastefully furnished. Our bedroom was beautifully designed large in size with modern decor.
The service in the Restaurant was excellent with very generous portion sizes, staff were very friendly and helpful nothing seem to be a problem. Breakfast in the morning was good with a varied selection of food. Would definitely return again!!

Attended a 3 days conference here at this hotel and was overall happy with the stay. The hotel is on the outskirts of the city but still a perfect place for a business conference. Rooms are nice and spacious and services were matching upto Crowne Plaza worldwide standards.

We previously stayed in this hotel in February & decided to stay there again over the October bank holiday weekend. No problems getting parked in the hotel’s free underground car park & then up the lift to reception. A very quick & friendly check in & with 3 lifts to choose from, we were in our 6th floor family room within a few short minutes of entering the hotel armed with a complimentary newspaper & apples that were available at the reception desk.
A big, spacious, inviting, bright & clean room with carpeted floor & all the things needed for a pleasant stay. Two comfortable double beds with good quality pillows & bed linen, wall mounted flat screen tv with a good selection of channels & pay for view movies, large wardrobe, iron & ironing board, tea/coffee, biscuits, hairdryer, minibar, full length mirror, luggage rack, smoke alarm, safe, air con, table, chairs & workstation. A large window meant plenty of natural light. Even though we were facing out directly on to Captain America’s & it’s nightclub, we had no issues with noise from it but, in the morning, we were able to hear the hotel’s lifts that were located just metres from our room. The free wifi was easy to connect to & was fast & reliable & didn’t drop the connection, not even once. There was a complimentary small bottle of sparkling water in the room on our arrival & an ice making machine right outside our door.
The bathroom was, like the bedroom, big. With fully tiled walls & floor, it was very clean & very brightly decorated with all fixtures in very good condition. It had a bath & a large shower cubicle with fixed head shower giving plenty of hot water but the pressure could have been better. Plenty of towels, good quality toiletries, a large mirror, dual flush toilet, wall extraction vent, dual voltage socket & telescopic makeup/shaving mirror.
Breakfast was served from 7.00 to 11.00 am. We went down at approx 09.15 & had no difficulty in getting a table for four, even though it was reasonably busy at that time. Served self service buffet style there was plenty on offer with tea, coffee, flavoured teas, juices, full fry, cereals, toast, yoghurts, fruit slices, whole fruits, cold meats, cheeses, pastries, jams, marmalade & honey. Omelettes, smoked salmon & kippers were served to order.
We didn’t have dinner in the hotel but did have soup & carvery lunch in the Sanctuary Bar on the Sunday afternoon. The food was good with generous portions & the bar/restaurant itself was quite busy with diners.
There is a pay to use, fixed internet point in the hotel foyer & the reception counter always had atleast two staff members on duty at any time that we passed it.
Checking out with Claire on reception was, like checking in, fast & friendly with no queues & it wasn’t a problem for us to leave our car in the hotel car park whilst we went off shopping until after 15.00.
Our stay pretty much mirrored our previous stay & we will be back.

I've stayed in Crowne plaza for one night . Came down to dine in restaurant and was very surprised with service . I am French but live in States for past few years but this is the first time I was looked after so well . Service is great .All waiters knew what they were doing especially I was impressed with Zanete . She is most professional waitress I've ever seen . She made me to feel like home . Thank you!!!
