very clean; big high standards rooms BUT not many options to go out at night or even have a simple dinner; need to take a taxi to the city.
hotel is recommended only if you LOVE hot springs and this is your main reason to visit this location.
poor service - we didn’t have hot water in the room and we had to be very assertive with the hotel staff in order to change our rooms to a room with hot water. this was done after we had to wait another 2 hours in our wet swimming cloths.

Stayed here for two nights during a private 28 day tour of China. It is a vast modern complex. The hot springs were only partially open when we were there, however they still let all the 'day trippers' in which meant they was a heaving mass of people. We didn't see any westerners there (which is a plus point!).

However, when it came to eating, apart from breakfast when the three large hotel buidlings all met in a huge restaurant for breakfast the hotel appeared to be empty. the only restaurant we could find open was at the hot springs themselves, which was very busy with people in bath robes and lots of children.

We took a taxi into Mile itself and found some nice eateries.

The chinese love the place, but it wasn't too our taste, too large, only bars were karaoke or tea room. There were lots of guests in the hotel but the public rooms were empty with everyone shouting and playing at the rather small hot springs.

The rooms were clean and well presented (although rather small). However the complex was purpose built and not to our taste.

Give it a miss if you want to see the 'old china' or else just stick to Shanghai.
