I used Howard Plaza several years ago when doing work in Taipei. Most of my trips were only a couple of nights, but the staff always remembered me and took good care of me. The hotel bar was a great place to relax after work and the manager CK always made his rounds to check on the guests. Sales managers Carrie and Angel were always checking in with guests too.
The breakfast selection was great and the restaurant staff always kept my coffee topped off.

I came to Taipei to watch my friends performing at their own concert at ATT. Their hotel was nearby me as well and with reviews I heard about this business hotel, I decided to give it a try staying here.
The room is awesome and they actually upgraded my room to the top floor.. With my name on the tv screen , I feel so important ! Lol..
The toiletries !!! Omg it's from Loccitaine! Do you know how expensive are those ?
Overall stay was awesome and location near the trains and malls.. Convenience store around the corners so yeah it's so way to get around and to find food ..

Easy to reach the hotel via direct bus service from airport in about an hour. Was given an "upgrade" for the room at 12th floor and welcome drinks. Felt safe with security around 24/7 and need key card to access hotel rooms. Staffs were courtesy and always got greeted. Good choices of Chinese,Japanese & Western breakfast. Free wifi provided for guest. Walking distance to the popular Sogo shopping and subways. Recommend for people who are there on free and easy.

They are using the Loccitane brand toiletries. They have got 3 types of breakfast to choose; Western, Chinese and Japanese. Our reservation also comes with 3 complimentary drinks at their lounge. The room size is big and their staff are courteous too. We stayed at their 12 floor. You are able to take the DaYou Bus 1960 to the hotel directly from airport and it is the 2nd stop. Go to Sogo plenty of food to choose only 5 mins walk. You will pass by the convenience stall.

I stayed for 3 days and a security deposit of NTD 16,650 was taken from my credit card upon arrival. On departure I paid in full using the same credit card, but the security deposit was not refunded. I have since phoned the hotel twice and sent an email. The hotel acknowledges their error and each time i contacted them have promised to rectify the problem within the same day, but so far nothing has been done..
On the last call the Hotel said that it took 14 days to arrange a refund of the security deposit. So beware. I will never stay at this hotel again.
