Owner description: Dvorets Pionerov (Palace of Pioneers) park was originally designed as a place of memorial for the fallen WWII soldiers. Its square is 22 hectares (2,368,060.29 sq feet) and perimeter approximately 1.8 km. The project of the park was conceived in 1968 to be officially open for public in 1974. The territory is divided by several alleys, the main one being the Alley of Glory whose trees were planted back in the days by WWII veterans, acclaimed school teachers and pioneers themselves. The main building of Dvorets Pionerov is to this day a home for various children's extra curricular activities and classes. The park is located in a residential area of Kirov and is visited by thousands kids and parents daily. Its favored by local runners and hosts sport events such as X-Kirov Cup bicycle race.
