because all the famous brands and smaller makers incl aborigine coops are represented here. Not cheap, but worth the price, and I somehow am hard pressed to come up with sympathy for the Western trash tourists here who whine that there are no cheap bargains. It's not plastic stuff nobody needs, but real arts and crafts; it's worth the price, and if you can't pay that, how about staying home? They have cheaper items as well, magnets, keyrings, pencils etc., but the porcelain, pottery and even food on the second floor is what makes this place great. I found the staff very friendly but not intrusive; that they need to check you a bit is necessary given the context. 5 mins on foot from the Sheraton; 7 mins from the MRT NTU Hospital one on the red line. Now that the NPM Shop at the NPM museum has totally gone to seeds, this is the place of choice, including NPM souvenirs actually.

This is the real deal for authentic, certified, and Taiwanese-made arts and crafts. I snagged a charming beaded jade bracelet, a couple of cute keychains and fridge magnets, some delicate tea cups, dainty folding fans, handy tote bag, and coaster set with National Palace Museum horse prints in fine details. It's like a museum place packed with everything nice that is Taiwanese and see things more up close plus touch for the most part for a better appreciation of the art piece. Will definitely go back for more affordable and high quality Taiwan souvenirs!

Very nice and unique articles all in one place. Bought paper lanterns and bamboo strips wall decor for giveaways very long ago. Certainly will be there again.

Always visit this shop just before going overseas. The variety and tea options are all located in one place maaking gift sopping a lot more convenient.

A good selection of souvenirs and artwork. But poor customer service, don't expect anyone to even make an attempt at helping you. If you can find your souvenirs elsewhere you will probably save yourself some money and frustration.
