Stayed here for two weeks on business and it was overall a great experience. The rooms (executive rooms on 18th floor) were spacious, clean. The bathrooms were nice but the lighting was on the dark side. There were good full-length mirrors available. The amenities provided were Occitane brand and included not only the usual soaps and lotions and shampoos/conditioner but also tooth-brushes and paste, hairbrushes/combs, razors/creams, etc. The downside was that the hairdryer provided was AWFUL. The cord was too short and kept popping out of the socket, the dryer would overheat and shut off entirely, creating a bit of a nightmare. Also, the air-conditioning is pre-set to change at different times of the day and I found myself constantly having to adjust the temperature. Room had a hot water pot and complementary coffee/tea products as well as a nice flatscreen TV. They provided four complimentary bottles of water daily, fresh fruit, an iron/ironing board and $500 TD worth of laundry service daily (limited as to the number of items you can have laundered for this amount but service is quick and reliable) and a large in-room safe. Room service and housekeeping staff and service was excellent. Enjoyed the fitness center, which had free weights and several elliptical trainers, rowing machines and treadmills. They even had a pitcher of sports drink available there, in addition to the water. Wireless internet and broadband service was excellent, desk work space was acceptable and there was an appropriate mix of business meeting rooms available. The executive lounge had a good food selection daily with some made-to-order dishes available. Main drawback was at lunch, when the restaurant was consistently full with people who had made reservations, necessitating a seat at the bar for those of us who hadn't planned ahead. Wake-up call service was reliable and front desk exchanged foreign currency. Hotel within easy walking distance to the Metro line, which can take you pretty much anywhere you want to go.

Room Tip: Try to get a room as high in the building as possible as there is considerable road noise due to the downtown location. Also many elevators present, so try to avoid adjacency to them.

Dear Caljogger,

Thank you for the detailed review of Sheraton Taipei Hotel. We are pleased that you found our services satisfactory. We perform constant review of our amenities as our goal is to provide our guests the best products available. Your feedback is most appreciated.

We will address your comments regarding the hairdryer and congested lunch hour lineups to the departments in charge. Our restaurants are very popular among local residents. It is highly advised to make a reservation prior to your arrival date to secure a seat.

Thank you again and we hope to see you soon!

I have stayed at the Sheraton Taipei a few times already. It is located near the Taipei Railway Station and right outside a subway station. I think the hotel has been in existence for a fair number of years but is still well maintained.

When I got off the taxi I was well greeted by the staff there who spoke good English. Check in was also very smooth. The room is quite spacious and very clean and is also nicely decorated.

Wifi is free at the lobby but internet comes with a charge in the room.

I also tried its buffet breakfast. Selection is very good and so was the taste.

There are always taxi waiting outside (even during rush hours and rainy times) so it is very convenient.

Overall, it is a good hotel in Taipei and the price is reasonable. I will definitely stay there again when I am in Taipei next time.

Recently stayed in the Sheraton for a company conference and was impressed with the meeting facilities, the staff throughout the hotel were great, the buffet breakfast and lunch at the base of an atrium was better than most hotels of this caliber and the wine selection by the glass in the lobby bar also great. I had a renovated room with nice large bathroom with separate shower and the bed was huge (and comfortable). If you are going on pleasure it might be wise to ask if any conventions are on. We arrived on Sunday and a hifi convention was on which took over three or four levels of the hotels rooms. Not great for lift speed, lobby congestion etc.

Dear StuckinBangers,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It is our goal to provide the finest facilities and services to our guests.

We apologize for the inconvenience during the hifi convention. We do not normally have such large events going on, but it is a good suggestion to double check whether there are any meetings or events occurring during their proposed time of stay.

Thank you for your feedback and we hope to see you again!

I must have visited Taipei on business at least 20 times. this was the first time I have stayed at the Sheraton.

The location was very good if you are doing business with the Taiwanese authorities or if you are wanting to explore the older parts of the city.

Rooms were not enormous but fine, the bed was comfortable and the room clean. Internet access was fine, and free!!!

The breakfast buffet was nice.

Thank you for choosing us after so many visits to Taipei. We hope you had a pleasurable stay here. Our location is not only convenient for travelers on the go, but is also within walking distance to the oldest part of Taipei. As one would expect , this hotel is great.

Staff's knowledge of English language , slang is bar none.

Good food, great service. They always try to help you without question. My favorite staff member is Maple in reception. She was so helpful , understanding and her friends were a great team.

Well done Sheraton Taipei.
