This hotel was constructed to host political figures visiting Taipei in the past. There is a wall to commemorate all the political celebrities and official events that were hosted here, from photos black and white to sepia. Its a huge property so do take a walk about.
However for its price, they do need to get new type mattresses and pillows. While it makes up for its size, it ain't the best quality provider in the market. Why I also prefer other hotels is because Yuan Shan Hotel (Grand Hotel Taipei) is on a hill by itself. You cannot just hit the lobby at 1am and expect to walk to a bar down the street or hit the 24hr convenience store. Its too private to feel the spirit of Taiwan at night.More
