Really great Indian food, and our server Anna was spectacular. It’s in a little strip mall near the Hyatt Grand, and the standard items are all great. I recommend the garlic chili naan bread to dip in the great sauces. The Palak Paneer is excellent as are the standards like the Vindaloo. This is THE place for simple and inexpensive Indian food near the Taepei 101. Be careful if you ask for extra spicy!

Xcellent Indian food at Mayur’s Indian kitchen. Very near to Taipei 101. Came in the afternoon for lunch and here now again for dinner. Prawn Curry is fabulous.

I had visited this one on my first visit to Taiwan. It was near to my hotel. We are very hungry and food served was good enough to grouse our hunger in terms if taste and flavour. So, if you are missing home food, then it’s worth the visit here.

We have dinner with three people here. We took some appetizers to share; all vegi. They were ok, but a bit on the dry side. The main course we had were good, well prepared and tasty. They warned us that some of the dishes would be hot, but that was not really the case. The staff was very friendly and forthcoming. Overall, good value for money, as the price was very reasonable.

This was my second visit to Mayur. The last was four years ago and the food remains excellent. Unlike the usually purely Punjabi fare in most Indian restaurants, Mayur has a range of cuisines from North and South India. Everything was well prepared. The fried starter snacks were perfectly done, wonderfully crispy and not at all greasy. Clearly the oil was the right temperature. Spice combinations were well balanced and the dishes were burdened neither by the excess ghee or chili that is often used in other places and that suppresses flavour. The prices are moderate and so represent very good value. Service is prompt, friendly and knowledgable and our food came fast even though it is prepared to order rather than waiting in the kitchen in pre-prepared pots or flavour sucking steam tables. The place is well set up to accommodate groups up to ten or so and is quiet enough to allow conversation. I left with the inner smile that tells me the food was made with some love and some joy in cooking. I'll be back for sure on a future visit to Taipei.
