The hotel is nice, clean, spacious and a great escape from city!
Staffs are rather friendly and helpful!

There's this lady receptionist (short hair and tall in red uniform) whom I didn't manage to get her name left a deep impression.
She helped us called up the massage place 七星养身管 and arranged for pick up..
Also, she helped cleaned my mum's abrasion from the fall off her bicycle.

Cabs to Hualien main city cost NT 400 both ways and the hotel can assist to arrange for transport.

The bicycles rental are free although the bicycles are not very well maintained..
We enjoyed the 清粥小菜 for breakfast.. Don't expect too much from the western style breakfast. :)

Ohh, lunch at the goat farm which is about a 15mins walk from the hotel is a MUST TRY!

Spend a night over there before a cycling trip down to taitung. We had a family room that was spacious and nicely situated with balcony. The wet-room was very well equipped to the highest standard and the staff at the hotel very professional and accommodating. The breakfast buffet is a nice mix of oriental/western style dishes to suit everyone. Top floor view of Hualien and the sea is also great.

My family and I picked this hotel based on the good feedback from the travellers in Trip Advisor. We stayed at the Family suite which has a big balcony facing the sea. The hotel room was big with two queen size bed which can accomodate 4 pax. There is a small bath tub in the toilet for you to relax. We opened the windows when we slept so that we could hear the sound of the waves. We had our tea break at the hotel cafe, it was small and cozy. At the cafe, kids can use the computers and adults can read some newspaper or magazines. The only thing is that the hotel is a bit far away from downtown which is about 15 mins by taxi. Riding bike in the morning along the seaside was an excellent experience, you may even ride the bike on the small hill to enjoy the beautiful seaview.

Room Tip: Choose family suite facing the sea

I stayed with a couple of friends at the Hotel Bayview for a night this November. The hotel is nestled in a nice area of Hualien beside the sea and therefore provided a relaxing retreat from city life. The room I picked was one with a seaview, and it proved a good choice given it is always nice waking up to the melodious sounds of the waves coming in and stretching to mountainous landscapes. The room itself was spacious enough for 2 grown adults, and had everything one required, including a very decent balcony. Probably the only thing lacking was a carpeted floor, in the absence of which the floor can get quite chilly. Breakfast was decent, although not fantastic (would recommend heading out for breakfast instead). Staff were friendly and accommodating. There are bicycles available for rental without charge from the hotel, which can be put to good use along the cycling path along the coast. The city is not far away, but a taxi ride would cost up to NTD200. All in all, a very good experience.
