It is a museum of modern arts, which belongs to Asia University. From downtown Taichung, it is a little bit far, but there is a service of public bus. Actually I cannot understand modern arts, and moreover the entrance (NT$250) is a little bit expensive. The architecture of famous architect Tadao Ando is however interesting.

The current exhibit of Zao Wou Ki is wonderful! The Museum's staff is very helpful and volunteered to give a quided tour without us even asking! The Museum designed by Tado Ando is also worth a visit! Nice Museum shop too!

The building is based on a perfect triangle. Even the lawn is a triangle shape. The architect wanted us to walk around this triangle lawn to relax our feelings before entering the building. Not only does it make aesthetic sense, it makes psychological sense too.

The building is of concrete with plenty of sunshine throughout the spaces. Zao Wouki paintings are abstract with big colors, perfect contrast/compliments to this architecture.

What a wonderful surprise to find such a gem in a sleepy Taichung.

Quite far from Taichung city, not much to see as expected. But feel leisure to spend few hours there.

Amazing piece of art by Tadao Ando. Fairfaced concrete finish throughout the building creating amazing space pockets among trusses. Masterpiece, must see.
