The hotel room is quite ok. Small but fully fitted. Queen bed. Staff were very professional. But Internet dreadful except for Fb. Fb is the only thing that worked well. Not even sure I can post this ta review. Also I hated the breakfasts. Lots of variety for Chinese. No eggs. No bacon. No cereals. Weird juices. I did find bread jam and coffee. I was looking forward to good Chinese food. Expected a lot of seafood. Didn't see much. But to be fair the food outside the hotel was pretty iffy too. Disappointed.

We were there as part of a large group. They were very accommodating to our needs. Breakfast was included in our package and was well done. The rooms are the size you expect for Asia. The shower was great! Lots of hot water and great water pressure it was a perfect way to unwind from the very long flight. Location is just right for exploring the city.

Conveniently located in Ximen near shopping, restaurants, bars and subway line.

Daily cleaning, modern shower and bathroom, includes daily refresh of supplies.

Safe in room along with a refrigerator and daily buffet breakfast on the 12th floor roof. Menu changes daily. Breakfast can be purchased for 100 TD if not booked ahead of time.

Around 15 minutes walk to Taipei main station. Breakfast have very limited choice and i do skip the breakfast after the second day. Due to too close to the main station, some taxi refuse to pick up. Location is right in the city centre and near by will have Starbucks and McDonald. Overall stay experience is just average.

We made online car service arrangement from Taoyuan International Airport to the Diary of Taipei in Ximen area for NT 1,500. Other cheaper options could be made via bus and metro rail system. The ride was smooth and less traffic (7pm) and the driver was courteous. Check in process was easy but I complained of the assigned room without window. We were transferred to another room with a small window by the bathroom, despite our advanced online booking. Good points though - the hotel is accessible to shopping (H & M, Uniqlo, Net, Dr Cosmed, etc and night market areas, metro rail system and bus & taxi stops. Street food, artworks, "crazy fad items abound in the area. I appreciated the availability of local fruits like guava, melon, papaya, macupa, mango, etc.. Transport to Taoyuan International Airport can be arranged with the hotel at NT 1,000 (Lexus service car with professional driver).

Room tip: When booking online you need to specify room with regular size window!
