We only used the hot spring and spa (facial) and did not stay overnight. The grounds was beautiful and the spa very clean and well decorated. It was a relaxing afternoon. The receptionist was efficient, making reservations for spa treatments upon our unannounced arrival. He suggested we use the spring first for 3 hours, then go to the spa. The open air segregated pools were very nice, clean, and relaxing with sauna and steam room, water with 4 different temperatures, and message jets in the large pool. It is a Japanese style spring, meaning no clothing. You should wash completely before entering the pool. The receptionist then drove us to the spa after the soaking pool. All in all the service was excellent. You can get there by taking the MRT (red) to Gangshan station, then the Red 70 bus (which takes an hour) or taxi ((NT$600). The hotel runs a shuttle Thursdays and Fridays form downtown Kaohsiung for NT$100.
