This cafe so nice with a view. In order to sit and enjoy the view. Each person is required to order 1 drink. We took the top level to enjoy the view before the tour group come in by the bus load. So go early so after Jiufen you can go to shifen for the lantern.

We only ordered tea to share but it was still quite nice to chat and drink on the balcony overlooking JiuFen. The tea house is expensive but I think it's nice to go with friends and just catch up. One staff member was a bit fierce but others were attentive.

Great collection and like a museum in a small scale.

They do offer tea serving. I try to get a tea as per her menu at front door. Around NT100. But I was told it is 700 per person, as I want to get a table.

I show a bit uncertainty, then the lady tell me I could visit the museum section.

Good experience though and away from the shopping crowd.

Very mind~purifying when watching the fishes, water fountains by rice mill.

Yes this tea house is the oldest in the area and possibly in Taiwan. It boasts good views of the mountainous region with plenty of people watching opportunities all round.

It is peaceful and the tea is very good. At a price of course. If you went for their signature High Mountain Oolong Tea, that would set you back roughly NT$ 800 (tea) + NT$ 100 (water). Which while not the most affordable, the service is good and it's something you're not likely to do very often anyway whilst still being one of the must-dos when in Jiufen.

I throughly enjoyed the peacefulness and fresh air of the tea house though the view is today slightly blocked off by a less ancient establishment.

Nonetheless if you appreciate good tea and like a little peace from the bustle of Jiufen old street, I'd highly recommend coming here for a couple of hours. Soak-in the tea, nature and a little life.
