I stayed there for 2 nights with my boyfriend in early December. We rented a car from Taipei city and drove around 1 hour to Yangmingshan. I have to say the ride was a bit scary as it gets very very foggy and rainy going up hill. There is a indoor carpark in Block 1. It turns out that we are staying in Block 2 (which only has an outdoor carpark and is not ideal in this weather), the reception arranged a car to get us to block 2. It is in walkable distance.
The room is a good. It's clean and in a good size. It smells a bit funny though, think it is from the hot spring. We also went to the spa which is amazing, they had a buy 1 get 1 free offer when we went. If you're interested in going to their spa, I would recommend booking early in advance. It's very small with around 3-4 rooms only.
We ended up just going to the hot spring in our room, instead of the outdoor communal ones as the weather hasn't been nice at all.
Food is okay. Not a lot of choices but enough to get us through 2 days.
Overall I would recommend it if you are looking for a affordable hotspring hotel. Very good price compared to those in Japan.More
