Hu Xi Minsu is well located 15min away from Hua Lian Railway station by taxi.
Booked a quadruple room for my little family. It was very cosy and felt like home. It is spacious for our family size and 2 lugguages open up. The room was very clean and have many DIY installations which made the room very homely and thoughful. The room had more than 10 power sockets and provided adaptors and different charger wires. Our sleep were quality. They used branded bedsheets and heard from the lady boss that they used organic detergent to handwash their linen which was a big plus point for our family who has allergy issues.

Both husband and wife host were very friendly and kind.
The boss quietly shifted our huge lugguages up the 3rd floor while the wife welcome us w snacks n tea in their reception area. We felt so apologetic as the lugguage weighed at least 25kg.
Lady boss single handledly prepared breakfast for all guests. From the seasonal fresh fruits selected to the handmade soyabean drink and the plating of the breakfast, we could really feel the love and thoughts she put in to come up w the “creation” The boss also patiently used maps and videos to recommend us Hua Lian beautiful sights. On the night before I left Hua Lian at about 10pm, I went to consult lady boss and ask her recommendation to move to Yilan in a cost effective way. As we had 2 kids in toll, not only she was all enthusiatic to analyse the different ways to reach my destination, she also shared with me her travelling stories with kids when they are young. In the end, we chatted for quite a fair bit and ended the session at almost 1am.

My kids also loved this accommodation the most throughout our 16 day trip in taiwan - moving 7 different type of accommodation (premium hotel fm Alisan to Minsu in cingjing, yilan, hualien to normal 3 star hotel in hsin chu etc). Hu Xi Minsu also has 12 cats lazing around the breakfast area, and their entrance. Kids had fun patting them every morning. Knowing we were going for hiking / farm, lady boss offered us anti mozzie cream and a loaf of bread for our kids to enjoy. They also recommended us a kind dentist as my girl had toothache during the stay.

Hua Lian is beautiful. The people in Hua Lian makes her even more so.

I spent spent 7 nights here and did not want to leave. The host and hostess are warm and genuine and always anxious to help in any way possible. The room was very nicely decorated and very comfortable. Every morning we were served an amazing breakfast. They made me feel very welcome and treated me like family.

Bao Chuan & Jin Lian are the nicest people we have ever met as tourists.
Never once did I feel that they want to earn my money. Never once did I feel that they were calculative towards us.
Too many wonderful things that I can share but you should experience it yourselves.
Their hospitality is amazing.
We went as tourists but left as friends.
Hualien is already a beautiful place and even more amazing because of them.
Had the best breakfast for our trip.
Gave my youngest daughter all the grapes that she could eat.
Prepared 5 full breakfasts for my family.

Booked for us the best Driver to Taroko and did not take a cent of commission.
They are seriously not Business People. They are Ambassadors for Hualien and Taiwan!
No wonder they are top Tripadvisor’s Top 10 B&B in Taiwan.
We’re planning to retire in Hualien because of them.
Can’t wait to go back.
