It is really overpriced for less than mediocre food. I gave it a harsh score because I think it really needs to be brought down. The guacamole is from a store bought bag, not made fresh. The food was really disappointing, especially the nachos. Stale chips, not great taste or spice, not fresh food, and not great service. Definitely regret this horribly overpriced meal. I’m also concerned about the hygiene as a server was in the kitchen using her hands to make dishes (assemble tacos) without any gloves or seeming to wash hands...

We were visiting from Malaysia, my parents who live in Taiwan. We had nachos, pull pork crispy tacos and they were all really good! The salsa was a little sweet for my liking but nice. We’re from south Texas so we know Mexican food! Believe the hype... not the people who are always looking for something to complain about!!

The best mexican food we had in ages that we decided to stay another night in Hualien, just to try some of the other items on the menu !
Their guacomole is amazingly nice.
Fajitas, tacos, burrito all were exquisite and fresh. For every type they have a vegetarian option available!
Owners are friendly, and chatty once service done.

If Dos Tacos is the number one place for travelers to eat at in Hualien City, then we're all in trouble. Like Wertasdf, we found the food totally mediocre and the service was not even that. Two teenagers more absorbed into their cell phones than doing their job while mom ran across the street to have dinner with her hubbie. When we asked for a little bit of additional salsa, we were told we'd have to pay extra?!? We ordered soft tacos that actuallly looked decent, but were totally bland in taste. The burrito had been placed in an oven or something -- so it had a hard exterior. But, mostly the food didn't taste good at all. And, it was way, too expensive. You can get better food than this at most Mexican restaurants in the states. Don't go!

Maybe I am rating this place too high, but it was wonderful to encounter Mexican food in Taiwan that tasted like Mexican food. They even had nice hot sauces, like the Valentina bottle many of us used to get the right kick to our food. We tried Burritos, Enchiladas and Quesadillas, all were very good. But the desserts were even better, both the Deep Fried Ice Cream and the Peach Empanadas were excellent. They even had good beer. Our friends who live in Taiwan will be back and we would come back if in the area again.
