3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2011

It's was a awful organisation at ten oclok it's start to rain so we get a happy new year and good night from a guy on a micro..the orchestra stop playing cause of the rain...the staff take the food and table away and that's all..for the price we paid it's a robbery !
I will never come again on that place !

My wife and I planned for a one week trip to Bali, during which we planned for a 3-nights stay at Bluepoint Bay Villas in Dec 2010. We were looking forward to the fantastic view that were shown on its website. Unfortunately, we checked out after one night as the service and hardware of the hotel were both sub-par. It's certainly not worth the price we paid for. We'll elaborate below.

Prior to the trip, we corresponded with the hotel to arrange for a hotel pick-up and got a reply from its Sales and Marketing manager that they can't provide the pick-up service but they've reserved our booking for a Ocean Front Honeymoon villa. Fine, we thought as we arranged our own transport to the resort.

Unfortunately when we reached there, we were put off by the attiude of the front desk staff. It was one of obnoxious and indignant as they told us our accomodation was for a one-bedroom split two storey villa. Not only were they not communicated that the Sales and Marketing manager had offered us another room, but they did not even bother to check with their colleagues. Rubbing salt to the wound, the front desk staff told us that we can have the room promised to us for a higher price. They simply cannot understand the concept of honouring what was promised. As a matter of principle, we refused (and fortunately we didn't as the room conditions were bad). Eventually, the Sales and Marketing manager came out to meet us and reluctantly said that it was a mistake but stopped short of making any service recovery. It was a very bad service attitude. Next came the staff who carried our luggage to the room. As it was raining and they were having some construction in the resort then, he failed to cover our luggage and simply dragged it along the ground that was muddy. When we reached the room, we found that one of our luggage has been soiled. And guess what, the staff had the audacity to continue standing around and expecting a tip from us.

As we inspect the room, it was obvious that the maintenance were inadequate. Cobwebs were apparent in some parts of the room and the stairs leading up to the second storey were squeaky (worst part is that the second floor was actually linked to the next villa as the door segregating both villas was spoilt and unlocked). Wireless internet connection wasn't working as it's supposed to and the floor in the front porch was also covered with algae which caused us to almost slip and fall a few times. As we require connection for work purposes, we called the front desk in the evening around 9pm on the lack of wireless connectvity. They actually called us back at 7am the next morning and went straight with their message "wireless is working", "wireless is working" without the morning greetings or the likes. So, there you have, the utterly low level of service.

For those who are looking to have a cliff side view, I believe there are others who can offer this at the same price. This place will certainly leave visitors a bad impression of Bali.

We had a very great time at our wedding at the Blue Point. All our guests commented on how good the chapel and also the pool side reception was decorated and also the service was better than expected.

We stayed in the Jacuzzi villa and also the honeymoon villa, both of these were great.. some of the guests had problems with their deluxe room but considering the price they paid for the room around US$100, no one was really complaining.

Breakfast for weekdays is served as a-la-carte and was good, however the breakfast for weekend is served as buffet and this was pretty average. Overall, everyone had a great stay.

.We stay in a lot of hotels around the world, in varying categories of standard, for both business & leisure.
We understand things can sometimes go wrong, that expectations may be higher than warranted but quite often a simple phone call to reception can often rectify a problem.
In the case of this hotel (listed as 4 star), the cleanliness, the worn out run down state of the rooms cannot be overlooked. Our 1st room (521) superior, was appalling. The 4 walls & ceiling were majorly water/damp stained, with large dark water/mould marks. The bathroom had black mould around the bath/shower & looked plain dirty. We asked to be moved & the hotel kindly upgraded us to a 2 storey, shared private pool villa.(room 315) I’m sorry to say this room was no bettter. The private pool had rough & lifting timber decking with exposed nails & missing tiles around its edge. The 2 storey room itself was huge but once again dirty in appearance, largely due to the water mark stains along with the ghekko lizard poo stains on walls & floors. Timber blinds were faded & water marked also. The shower base was stained & lined in places with black mould. The upstairs bar basin had green mould quite clearly growing from its base. The clincher here however, was the bath/spa in the bathroom.
When the spa/Jacuzzi was accidentally switched on, fluke-like worms squirmed out of the spa jet nozzles. Being quite disgusted by this, we decided to stay just the 1 nt & check out, not without showing the video footage of the worms to the Reservations MGR. I could & would not recommend this hotel to anybody.
The only nice thing which other reviewers have stated is the infinity pool area with amazing views of the ocean surf from the cliff top .Be aware however, that the hotel does sell DAY-USE entry to visitors for pool use, so you may find as we did, that a schoolies group had taken over every lounge chair around the pool. They were well behaved , that’s 1 consolation, the other being they all left around 5pm.
My tip, stay elsewhere…Don’t spoil your holiday.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Blue Point last July, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Having never been to Uluwatu before, I found it a great place to stay and extremely affordable. We stayed in the deluxe rooms (lowest level of accommodation in the resort) and from memory, the price worked out be around to$50pp/per night. The rooms were quite spacious, the bathrooms a bit outdated but fully functional and pretty good in comparison to other hotels we've stayed at. The view from breakfast overlooking the ocean was stunning and although I've noticed a few negative reviews about the hotel's breakfast, I found it good. Even though we enjoyed our stay, I'd recommend staying no more than 4 nights, only because Uluwatu is a pretty quiet area. They also didn't offer wifi, so that was a bit of a down point. There are some great places to grab a bite to eat right near the hotel, but for dinner, I'd suggest the Thai restaurant at Padang adang (about 5 mins from the hotel). The Kecak dance at Uluwatu temple was also amazing! The hotel offers a free daily shuttle bus to and from it. Overall, I would not hestitate to recommend this hotel.

I recently got married here and highly recommend it to anyone thinking of getting married in Bali. The location itself is absolutely stunning. The Chapel is spectacular and the views over looking the ocean and the waves are never to be forgotten. The service is 2nd to none. The staff are too lovely and just can't do enough to help you. The wedding planner Kadek was always prompt and helpful with email replies in the lead up to the wedding and made planning an overseas wedding completely stress-free. I can't recommend this place enough and I can't wait to get back there and spend more time in this gorgeous place.

+ The main thing it's nearby Uluwatu Beach, just outside the villa area there's a small stairs to go down the beach and small souvenir shops and restaurants all way down. This place met my expectations, i took one night stay in 2 story villa, nice jacuzzi, swimming pool just across the room (the small one), there's safety box, well equipped n complete facilities. The upper floor has nice wide sofa to take a nice nap or reading. The Infinity Pool very nice combine with the view of Uluwatu beach and people do surfing. There's a spa nearby the main pool. The breakfast was good, restaurant look clean. This place good for couples and for personal event like wedding.
- pillow in upper floor sofa kinda smell, i think they also forgot to throw out the trash from previous guest in bedroom garbage.
