Amazing location & really cool infinity pool but not good value for money as the rooms are outdated and feel old. Needs an upgrade to be charging the price they are asking. Other than that, great service, friendly staff, amazing locating and view from the pool and restaurant. Cool walking down the cliff to the white sand and clear water beach.

Our "upgrade" to a villa was horrible, the room was dirty and to get upstairs you needed to use the most dangerous stairs ever (wood, moldy, felt like they would break down every second)

The room service was quite good, apart
from the fact that they left our dishes outside our room for our entire stay and didnt clean them up.

the breakfast was not good either, so the only good thing really was the locaation and the view from the pool and the restaurant. It might be a different case with the deluxe room that we actually booked, they looked a bit more modern, but the villa is just not worth the money you pay. Next time i will stay somewhere else.

The location and infinity pool are outstanding, but the hotel itself is in poor shape. A day pass is available to use the pool ($20 I believe), and the pool staff was very friendly. The pool closes at 5:00. Sit at the infinity side and enjoy the best possible views of the three Uluwatu surf breaks right below you - this is heavenly (though my surfer friends complain of serious overcrowding and rough manners down there). Order the pool-side salad - avoid everything with bread, as it is dry, white and stale. Ignore the stream of weddings in the immediately adjacent "chapel" and the non-hotel tourists crowding the impressive open-air entrance hall and pool side for pictures. Now you've taken full advantage of everything good about the place. You won't be alone - it appeared most people in the pool were day-pass guests.

Service at the hotel check-in and check-out was slow and even surly. Our lower-price on-line booking was not accepted. At all costs avoid the lowest-priced standard rooms in the two-story buildings at ground level. Mold is everywhere, there appears to be no sound insulation, there are inch-wide gaps between the shabby doors and the floor, the walls are dirty, the towels thin and grey. At times sewer smells waft up out of the plumbing. The baths have no actual shower, which means you clean yourself sitting in the tub, holding the hand-held shower nozzle. When we arrived, a fist-sized hairy spider zipped along the floor. A staff member killed it expertly; the next one denied the presence of spiders anywhere, ever. At considerable cost we upgraded one level to a room on the second floor at the sea-side corner of the building which was much cleaner but suffered from all the other defects. The views from this "ocean view" room were of the roofs of the separate "villas" which looked decrepit even from the outside.

The restaurant staff was pleasant and friendly, but the food uninspired. The breakfast buffet is plentiful but pedestrian. Fresh seafood and drinks are overpriced. Needless to say the cost of the rooms is ridiculous, given what is provided.

Do NOT under any circumstances use the so-called spa. The rooms are dingy, the toilets and especially the massage beds moldy so that you press your face into unpleasantness. The massage itself, despite repeated requests, never amounted to more than a surface rub.

Needless to say I will not return.

We are here to buy a swimming package by the pool and overlooking the view of the sea while waiting for sunset.

I want to share so that each of you Be careful of the rude waiter at the coffee shop on the right of the entrance, there is no view there, and when we come in from entrance the security guides us to this coffee shop, we asked him is there another sea viewing coffee shop and the waiter lie to us say that the sea viewing shop has closed; but we choose not to believe him and want to leave to find out another restaurant that is facing the sea, he dare to asked us to use the main road to walk back to the villa whereby motor vehicles pass by. We got so angry and do not want to bother him and walk back using the inner rail where we came from the guide house.

The waiter at the sea viewing restaurant is also very rude, asking us which hotel we from, I mean we are here to consume is that a different we came from 5 star or a 3 star hotel?

Anyway, this place is forgettable if you are not here to swim in the pool (we not swim as the sun is still hot at the time we arrive)

We were upgraded to a villa because of a double booking...it was more of a down grade, the room was run down, bathroom stank, stairs leading upstairs were breaking and dangerous, paint chipped off..5 stars for the location, the infinity pool is amazing but with the 5 or so weddings happening a day..you feel abit second best to the weddings, having to walk the long way round to your room, the rate we paid..not worth it!

The pool and restaurant views were great. However, I couldnt help but notice how rood some of the pool attendants were to guests. Pool attendants need to learn how to speak more politely. During breakfast, the omlette cook served another person when clearly i ordered before the "bule". I assume they discriminate their service for "white" folks. There were ants and flies on some the food during breakfast. I'm serious....the management needs to pay attention to detail and spend a little money training their people to treat every paying customer equally.

The room I stayed in had stained curtains, and the water plumbing in the bathroom had some issues. Seemed like the room hadnt been occupied for some time. Such a waste, to invest in such a beautiful location and infrastructure but lack the management skills to bring this place up to standard. Judging from how many terrible reviews this place got i would suggest looking elsewhere for a place to stay and ONLY come to this hotel to check out the view from the pool and take pictures.

We went to the pool early in the morning when everyone were having their breakfast. The view is AWESOME. After some photo taking, we went for the buffet breakfast, and again, the view and the sound of sea is AWESOME. We were watching the surfers to hit by the waves while having our breakfast.

The room management, well, we ordered a Deluxe Room which is cheapest at that time, and when we arrived on time, the staff told us that no more deluxe room available, but they gave us FREE UPGRADE to One Bedroom Two Storey Villa which is like double more worth than our booked room. Can I say that is a bad management? Or we were just lucky.
