The resort takes about an hour to get to from Kuta but well worth the visit. You can pay for a day use of the place for about $20 which includes a towel and lunch. The infinity pool makes for some great photos but take a walk down the cliff where you will find many local huts selling everything from tee's to massages. Take a $5 massage at the end of the track in a hut sitting atop a rock outcrop with fantastic views. Great for honeymooners or those wanting to chill out but so far from anything else that it's easy to get bored.

Nice bonus point- free shuttle to Uluwatu temple. The driver show brought us all the way to our seats at the Kecak performance at the temple.

Positive- the reception, infinity pool, the garden, friendly staff and that it!
(The infinity pool has an attached children pool, we really enjoyed it. clean fresh towels etc.)

Rooms are big, but old and dated indeed, hence, overpriced for what it was. Bathroom stained. One towel per person provided and unlike that for the poolside, it did not look clean.

Breakfast was not good at all. Poor selection of everything- 3 cereals, plain rice+ what looked like leftover roast, noodles, some pastries.

The worst & the unacceptable - mattress of my baby cot was moudly underneath. They made the bed beautifully and we discovered this the next morning when my toddler flipped it over. - Demolition work on the roof of the building at 8am. Not previously informed by hotel staff, plus i wonder of the danger of falling debris. Luckily we were already awake and were checking out that same day.

Overall average rating coz we did enjoyed the pool and the view of the surfers at sea, over the cliff.

The view is 5 star. Period. The hotel overall is just ok. The food at the hotel is no good, but the place that is just below the hotel, on the cliff, is amazing. I think I ate 4 meals there over 3 days. The rooms are ok, and were not the cleanest. The two story suite that we originally booked was a strange layout, and the bathroom was not very clean when we arrived. The second story of the room was pretty useless unless you are hosting a party and need a bar in the room, or if you wanted to take a bath in the dirty Jacuzzi that did not have much of a view. We upgraded to the honeymoon villa, and the room was much better. Cleaner room, better view, and a private pool. I would recommend checking out a few of the rooms before you are assigned one. It is the best property in the area, and if you surf, you cant beat the location. Also note that if you cancel, you have to pay for 1 night of your stay, that is their policy.

me and my hubby stayed there in October (Deluxe room).
we had amazing time there using pool, eating and drinking beside the pool watching sunset. there is also a beach nearby which the hotel provides free shuttle for u to go there easily and swim if u want. Also an amazing temple is close to this hotel which free shuttle to there is provided. u can watch wave surfer all day long or join them since below the hotel is one of the best location for surfing.
if u want to go to shopping mall or water sport u can ask hotel to provide transportation.
the rooms was ok but the bath tub in the bathroom needs some maintenance.
restaurant was good and the foods were nice.

Yes, the inifinity pool overlooking the surf at the top of the cliff is amazing... Apart from that, this place is pretty run down. We stayed in a one bedroom, two storey villa. The downstairs with the bedroom was nice, the upstairs was odd. Just the jacuzzi in one corner, one lounge chair, an abandoned 'bar' and a dodgy old TV in a big empty space. I'm not sure if this area used to serve another purpose but it was a bit lost on us. The gardens are pretty and there are small pools dotted around between the villas. This comes in handy as the main pool area was closed for a wedding one of the nights we were there. In the three days we stayed here, we saw 3 or 4 weddings - this seems to be what the resort does. 'Regular' guests are just an added extra.
The breakfast was pretty lame (especially being vegetarian), and even the hot dishes were just kept on plates and so were not hot at all. The restaurant was pretty good, and poolside menu was OK. The spa seemed expensive - competitive with the 5 star resorts in Nusa Dua though far from equal in quality.
The biggest drawback about this place, is it's location. I know that it's location is perfect if you want to go surfing everyday but it is far from everything else. You can't get a passing taxi because there are none and to order one would be expensive and take time for them to come. Also, the road into the hotel is TERRIBLE! Huge potholes, you can only drive about 5km/h and even then you feel every bump, scrape and hole. The hotel does offer shuttles to the Uluwatu Temple to see the dance show but they take you with only enough time to get there for the show and pick you up straight after so if you want to actually see the temple you should arrange your own transport.
Staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, but too expensive for what you get. The view from the restaurant and funky little cafe underneath are amazing, it's definitely worth coming to check the place out, and the hotel offers day packages (use of the pool, one beverage, meal from a set menu and pool towel for a certain price) which may be better than staying here.

Room Tip: Ask for one near one of the smaller garden pools so you can still cool off when the main one is bein...

We have stayed at this resort a few times with the last being August this year. It is a fantastic place to stay if you are on a surfing holiday. My hubby would surf 6-8 hours over 2 sessions nearly every day and I could just relax with my baby and watch the surf from the pool. Absolutely stunning best describes the pool and surrounds. We stayed in a 2 storied villa. The first villa we stayed in had a queen bed downstairs, bathroom, tv, fridge etc and upstairs was a big open area with a day bed and a sink. The last time the villa layout was a little different, downstairs had 2 single beds, bathroom, tv, fridge etc but upstairs in a separate room had a queen bed, bathroom, tv, fridge etc too with a balcony as well. Both villa balconys are not child proof and is quite dangerous so you just have to watch children 100%, but we knew this already. Just massive gaps that they can fall down. I moved the plants in front of a few openings. Villas are fully air conditioned as well. The staff are wonderful and happy all the time. The buffet breakfast while not as large as big resorts still was varied with heaps to eat and drink, the view while eating breakfast looking over Uluwatu surf is amazing! There is warungs (where surfers eat and get massages) just below on the cliffs and a great restaurant Single fin. There is no shopping nearby and other restaurants you need transport to get to. This resort would be a fantastic place for a wedding as the chapel overlooking the surf is amazing! I love this place and look forward to staying there again.

Room Tip: If you can pay a little more then the villas are so much more better value than the deluxe rooms.
