The had heard there was a temple and monkeys to see in uluwatu so we decided to make a day of it, similarly how we had with the monkey sanctuary in Ubud. This is much different. The temples are beautiful, lots of walking, lots of stairs - take a hat! There are some monkeys around, we were told they were more 'aggressive' than those in ubud, but saw no signs of that. In saying that we were not as interactive.
You cannot go inside the actual big temple, but can take many great photos along the way. Not too big, so it wasnt worth making a day of. Will i visit again? No, probably not. Should you? Yes - if you are visiting for the views and temple. No - if you are visiting for the monkey experience.
Only stop by if its on the way, dont go out of your way id suggestMore
