I checked this place out since a friend suggested it. It's kinda far from kuta (about an hour or so). gorgeous cliffs, ocean and sky but the temple itself is not that spectacular. there are monkeys along the way but not that much.

They charge 3,000 IDR and they hand out a sarong. someone will volunteer to guard you against monkeys but dnt bother. the monkeys are tame enough.

The place is just five hours away from uluwatu surfer's beach and padang-padang so if you have time to spend, might as well drop by

Temple is oke, the cliff is nice but you can see the cliffs from every guesthouse and restaurant in the area. The monkeys are funny, just don't become the laughing stock of everyone else while you have to chase the monkeys because they stole your glasses.

If you visit this temple you get great views from the cliffs and out over the sea. I went during the day time but the views would be nice at sunset. It took us about 40 minutes from Nusa Dua and it was quite nice driving through different villages on the way there. It doesn't take that long to walk around the temple, but beware of the monkeys who can get a bit aggressive, but if you leave them alone they don't usually bother you. You can walk around the grounds but the central courtyards aren't usually open to the public. You have to have your legs covered so either wear trousers or you can hire a sarong for free when you get there. This is not one of the most impressive temples.

Best view ever along with watching the kecak and fire dance in open air, it was worth the distance and the crowded roads till there.
