Another Bali "true" Hidden Gems :) The way to beach is so nice with Giant stone and rocky step, we really like entering the tropical paradise :) the beach is very nice and great spot for Surfing also :) Well this place became more and more people visit and well known because Eat Pray and Love of Julia Roberts was done here :) so now bit crowded also with some local tourist :) and now many food seller is on the beach :) Morning time maybe still the best but not for the wave :p but anyway this place is worth visit if you love tropical beach :)

The approach to padang padang by itself is exciting-a hilly drive punctuated by a lovely meal at a cafe called'the mango tree'. the actual entry to the beach is by climbing down stairs-loads of them--in fact at one place, the stairs go through a narrow gorge ,where 1 way traffic is the only way out. and then==a white sand enclosed by cliffs making the gorgeous aquamarine sea almost like a wave pool--can wade about 75 metres very safely--soma parts are rocky--clear waters . All the men love it--Julia Roberts swam in these waters !

Eat, Pray, Love; inspired us to the Padang-padang beach. We went there with the guidance of GPS, it past Uluwatu Temple (another tourist attraction) first before arrived at Padang-padang beach. After stepping in a steep and beautiful yet narrow cove rock, you will find an amazing scenery of a small pure white sands beach. Not as crowded as Kuta or Sanur and has not been the domestic tour destination yet, due to the steep road in some part which is not suitable for buses. I saw many tourist enjoyed their sun-bathing till sunset, where you can find many monkeys got down to the beach. Destination not to be missed.

We had a great time at this beach - as it's a bit off the beaten path, we were able to find a nice quiet spot on the sand to enjoy the sun, surf and gorgeous views!
