Last weekend we stayed at this property. We were happy with the rooms (adjoining) for the price we paid however for me that's were it stopped. Unfortunately the property was tired and needed maintenance to freshen up tired furniture, peeling paint lack of feeling about the place. The mini bar is badly working it took nearly 2 days to chill a bottle of wine, we were unable to "borrow" a bottle opener as it turned out the wine wasn't cold enough anyway.
Our evening meal on Saturday was OVER PRICED, flavourless and TINY. There was not a kids menu so we ordered chicken satay for 2 6 year old boys, they were unable to eat it as it was sooo hot (I couldn't eat it) we then re ordered with out the sauce and it took nearly 25 mins to receive a less than satisfactory replacement.
The grounds are vast and there is a lovely looking golf course. They do advertise a kids outdoor play area which is a hazard, falling apart and not suitable for use.
As long as you are out of the property and only using the rooms, it's good value however if you're looking for a resort I'd not suggest this property.

Decent and isolated hotel with a goal course. Ideal for travelers seeking to get away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta and Nusa Dua. Having quiet and peace comes with lack of variety of dining options, taxi inconvenience etc. Staff was super, offering our family a rest in one of their suites while we waited for our midnight flight.

Booked a getaway weekend, and found this place and made the reservation purely based on price. Was pleasantly suprised based on previous reviews, this hotel is quiet good. Being upgraded to a suite doesnt hurt either, which is a fabulous size 100 plus sqm. Good for relaxing or golfing, hotel is a long way off the main road, so transport is needed for any trip away from the property. Only let down for us was the quality of the breakfast, it was average at best. Please note as with most big hotels in Bali these days, there was a large chinese tour group staying at the hotel, which made enjoying breakfast impossible, unbelievably bad manners, i felt sorry for the staff.
Would i stay again?, yes i would, if price stays stays competitive

We booked a 2 bedroom suite.

A couple of days before I have been checking the room and made some comments about a bad smell and some lamp which wasn’t working.

A couple of days later we checked in. With the check-in late at night we figured out that the room was very humid. There was a bad small because of the overabundance of moisture. Even the bed was wet. We also found an animal in the room (a kind of lizard or bigger gecko).

We complained, and apparently the problem was known. All the ground floor rooms have the same problem.

We were offered an upgrade to the President Suite on the 3rd floor. A good room. It however took 1,5 hour to move us there. And if you check in after 23 o’clock you could imagine how late it is. A bit too late on the night before our wedding.

The president suite is a nice room with a big Jacuzzi. We liked the Jacuzzi, so we decided to book that room another night for our wedding night. Next morning we tried to fill the Jacuzzi, but it took us 3 hours to realize that the Jacuzzi was leaking.. It took us a while to figure out because it is difficult to estimate how fast such a big bath is filling up.

We complained again and we commanded to have a reduction of the rate. We booked this room with the Jacuzzi in mind. But the management didn’t want to discount. It took us an hour of discussion with several management members. We were even threatened with the police if we didn’t pay the money.

I offered them the option to cut the price 50%, but they didn’t want to accept. We left paying the money not willing to spoil our honeymoon. With the notion to the management that we would review Le Grande with this story to TripAdvisor and Hotel.com.

Arrogant management who claimed that our case wasn’t a lot of money too them. But still too much money to give us a proper discount. Customer Service isn’t a trait of this hotel management.

The hotel isn’t worth 4 stars. It is old and the moisture deteriorated the interior of the hotel.

Stayed here for three nights. Great value for money in a quiet area. Perfect if you're into relaxing by the pool or playing at New Kuta Golf. Good breakfast but restaurant seemed to have limited availability of products off the menu at other times. Staff super friendly and helpful. Recommend Le Spa for an awesome couples massage!
