We Stayed at Bahia Del Sol for our wedding in July 2013. The Hotel is beautiful, very well kept. The gardens are beautiful, the staff is outstanding, they knew every guests name shortly after we arrived. We and our friends and family booked multiple rooms with out difficulty. The hotel has many excursions to offer Maikol Contreras handled all of our trip requests, with last minute changes and late night bookings with a smile every time. The food was delicious, the drinks were amazing. Marvin the bartender is awesome. He made all of us feel at home. He even came to dance at the wedding. He is a great dancer. If my mother in law could take him home she would. The hotel is close walking distance to several restaurants, coco beach is next door and has great food, some of the best steak and lobster we had. Playa Flamingo is a close 15-20 min stroll down the beach and has some shops and restaurants.

The wedding at Bahia Del Sol was spectacular, we did have a local wedding planner Donna Mickley from Pura Vida weddings assist and work with the staff at Bahia Del Sol. She recommended Bahia and it was a perfect match. The site is beautiful, the food again was great. The staff were amazing. We had 50 people attend the wedding and all were pleased with the hotel and the staff the food and drinks. We will definitely return.

If you are looking for the Hilton this is not it, it is personalized for every one that stays, the rooms are all different and beautiful . AC works great (almost too cold), very safe, no one expects tips they all work for you to have a great experience.

Room Tip: We stayed in the sun suite, its large, has a private Jacuzzi in the back. And an ocean view with a patio. I went into many of the rooms of friends and family and they were all very nice. Each room is different and unique.

We stayed 1 night with our family in August. It is a small hotel with a very pretty garden on the beach. Rooms are ok, a little musty - but fine for the price. The restaurant had very bad food and the pool was really dirty. If you want real luxury you will need to pay double for the Westin, but if you want something above basic with airco, this is probably your best choice. The views are gorgeous but we didnt really like the beach - brownish rough sand and very narrow. We were originally going to stay 2 nights but left after 1 night since it just didnt seem like a very interesting spot. Had a great dinner at a local pizza place, Marco Polo.

We visited the Bahia del Sol in April 2013. It's comfortable, the food is fresh, and it's a great location with a beautiful view. It is the staff however, that made it most memorable for us. Jose greeted us as we checked in with a freshly made "Welcome" cocktail of mint and mango. Marvin's floral arrangements are original and showcase local tropical specimens. It was a fantastic start to our vacation. I have traveled extensively in other countries, but never have I received such personalized attention. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and seem genuinely happy to be there. I know we were!

We have just returned from our vacation in Costa Rica.

The Bahia del Sol was lovely.

The beach is very quiet and the blue flag signalled a very clean beach. You can walk about 4 kilometres on the beach, in fact we walked to Playa Flamingo one day.

The pool and garden area were well maintained and relaxing.

The room was spacious and the patio lovely, just a bit in need of an update. The only negative was the rooster that greeting us each morning about 4:45 a.m.

The food was very good.

We would go back again
But the best part of the visit was the warm and very friendly staff, always smiling and very helpful.

Our daughter's wedding was our reason for our first trip outside the United States and to Costa Rica. We stayed at Bahia del Sol. Truly it is more lush and beautiful in person then you could see on the internet. This family run resort is a well run facility with friendly and helpful staff. As I relaxed on the beach, Maik came out to remind me of my scheduled massage. It was a wonderful experience, very relaxing. The resort is extremely clean and neat. Everything is just georgeous. Every detail of the wedding, in spite of the rain, went well. The food is excellent and the bartenders are very creative and enjoy what they do. We felt very welcome and like family by the time we left. We would definitely return in the future.
