“very cosy cottage”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

i booked the cottage for Easter weekend. All the booking process and communication with the owner was impeccable. the cottage is very homely with fire place and wood burner. three different floors each with its character. The new bathroom is very good. all in all a very good place to relax. the surroundings are very beautiful if you get the weather to see them.

“Comfy, cosy but roomy cottage”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Just returned from a few days in the Peak District staying at Farm View Cottage in Parwich. Lovely cottage, fully equipped and surprisingly spacious for a one bedroom property - separate kitchen/diner with log burner, separate lounge with open fire, and separate double bedroom with good storage and a comfy bed. Fab newly fitted bathroom with both bath and separate wet room type shower (and proper large fluffy bath towels). Some nice "welcome" touches, i.e. wood burner alight on arrival, milk in the fridge, biscuits, tea and coffee provided and flowers on the table....nice touch. Pretty village and great location for exploring the area. We completed some terrific walks in the hills and dales. We both (plus Ted the Border Terrier) had a lovely time and hope to return again.

Liked best: The log burner.....nice and cosy when the evenings got chilly
Liked least: The local pub doesn't allow dogs so we weren't able to eat there

“Homely, cosy and comfortable cottage.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2013 for a stay in November 2013

Farm View Cottage is a typical Derbyshire Peak District village cottage, built from local Limestone.
It was cosy and comfortable, well equiped and homely. Just what we wanted for a long week-end break.

“A cosy cottage, just what we were looking for!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2013 for a stay in April 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming cottage. The rooms are full of character and have a really homely feel to them!
Parwich is a lovely village, ideally suited as a base to explore the area and we enjoyed a couple of lovely bike rides as well as several walks in the Peak National Park. The bikes provided by the owner were a real bonus!
The village pub is extremely welcoming, serving good honest food and great beer and we found the little shop inside the pub really useful for picking up bits and bobs. We will definitely be back!!!

“Excellent abode for self catering couple”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2013 for a stay in September 2012

I fell in love with the slate floor in the kitchen/dining area. Everything is provided for self catering which is appropriate as restaurants are not close by excepting the local pub. Assuming that you have a car, the cottage is in a very good position for walking & cycling trips. The opportunities for cycling are particulaly good because many of the local disused railway lines have been converted into walking/cycling tracks.
