Well, this was my second visit to jungle retreat. The first one was when I was a bachelor and this time it was for my 2nd wedding anniversary. You would know that it is a good place from my choice of it for such a special occasion. One must know that he is getting into something that is in middle of the jungle and not expect a lot of activities ( the ones you expect in regular tourist place ).
It's a good property with good accommodation. Variety of accommodation is impressive. You have tree houses, dormitories, cottages, suites and regular rooms with fine architecture blending in with the jungle. The restaurant ( I find it expensive but they are getting food to you in middle of the jungle right ..? ) provides good yum food. I don't drink, so no comments on the bar there but the ones who did seemed happy with it. People are hospitable here. Helping you with your activities, safaris, directions, etc. etc. They were kind enough to get me a anniversary cake ( shh,.. surprise for my wife ). They have a lady who can come to your room and provide thai massage which my wife says was decent. Coming to the subject of my review, there isn't a lot to do inside the property. I used to spend a few hours here and there and then get out for treks, safaris, drive to nearby places ( on way to ooty, wayanad ) etc.
