We arrived on the first boat on a Friday morning, and there was hardly any accommodation left on Long Beach. (Lesson learnt: book ahead!) We found Lemongrass toward the end of Long Beach.
We got a simple wooden hut, furnished with two single beds and a standing fan. There is only electricity at night and mid-day. There is also a hammock at the porch, nice for chilling in the afternoon heat. Toilets and showers (cold water only) are all shared but clean. I'd say it is a very basic accommodation but it is also one of the cheapest options on the beach front. It worked pretty well for us since we were out diving most of the day. People who don't like bugs / lizards may want to avoid this chalet as the mosquitoes there seem pretty resilient. (That said, I'm not sure what is the condition like for the other places on the island, and we did have a mosquito net which was pretty useful.)There is really not much to say about the location since Long Beach is pretty short and everything is within 5mins walk. The owner, Sin, is a friendly old man and we didn't have any issues with him.
