“Wonderful Hotel with great staff”
Reviewed June 20, 2011

We arrived at this hotel and was greated with a wonderful smile & a glass of juice for each of us, we haven't stayed here before but will be back, staff are fantastic, room service excellent, garden bungalows are large and quiet, pool is wonderful & very big, if i could find anything wrong with the hotel is that it could do with a bit of a face lift.

Stayed at a pool access deluxe room at Print Kamala Resort for 2 nights end of January. I have been to Phuket many times and this is the first time I stayed at Kamala beach. Kamala beach was one of the worst hit areas in 2006 Tsunami so most of the resorts were refurbished in the area. There is a monument park which is right across the road from the hotel.

The hotel looks nice from the surface with beautiful swimming pool and a nice beach just across the road. The hotel was busy so it wasn't easy to get a poolside bench. There are also some European visitors who like to 'reserve' their poolside chairs by leave a towel there before going for their breakfast!

Our pool access deluxe room was big but quite rough in details. The shower head and tap were not working properly, the toilet flush wasn't working well (it takes several attempts to flush a toilet), the bed was very hard to sleep in (my husband had a really bad backache from sleeping in their bed). The room just smells moldy whenever you step in. There were lots of mosquitos in the room and bathroom but this may be problem for any resorts in Phuket.

I had stayed at several hotels in Phuket and Print Kamala Resort is just average at its best.

Being first time traveler to Phuket, we were unsure about which location and hotel would suit our young family. We didn't consider Patong as we prefer a more quiet and relaxed surrounding, furthermore we have a 2yr old daughter with us. After reading reviews of Print Kamala, we decided to 'gamble' it. It proved a wise choice. The experience started right at the airport itself and we were then greeted by the friendly front desk staffs. They never fail to greet us and asked us how we were and even my 2 yr old daughter were comfy with them. The location was even better for us as being Muslim travelers it wasn't a hard choice looking for good Halal food around the vicinity (to be precise just walk a little to the main road). Overall I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Just the perfect relaxed vacation that I needed. Thumbs up!!!

We were supposed to be on Koh Samui from the 9th, however due to flooding we diverted to Phuket. Stayed 2 nights in Patong, then high-tailed it out of there to Kamala after finding Print Kamala on agoda.com. IT was the best decision ever. From th moment we arrived, we were treated wonderfully- our room was spacious, decorated beautifully, massive comfy bed with concertina doors into the bathroom - with a bath! The best thing, however, was the balcony, which looked over the pool and had a daybed. It rained most of the time we were there (2 nights), so having the balcony/daybed was wonderful. We even used the gorgeous pool (with swim-up bar) - there were many pool-beds around the area, and a short walk away was a 7-11, great restaurants, shopping, etc. We spent one morning on the beach - 200bht for a whole day use of a bed, umbrella and water. We had a problem with our showerhead - and it was fixed within 15 minutes.

I cant speak highly enough of this hotel - with all the craziness that we faced before arriving, it was like an oasis for us before our trip to Samui. Thanks Print Kamala!

I would not stay at the Print Kamala for a while, they have very cheap rates but there is major construction going on near the resort. The pile drivers start around 8-9am and finish at 6pm but there are other noises during the night and whilst the pile drivers are going, if you are at the bungalows at the back then it is a nightmare. I tried to sit on the sofa in our bungalow to do my sudoko and the whole room was shaking to the extent I could not write!
The rooms nearer to the pool seem a better option but still noisy at the moment and they are more expensive. Found staff indifferent and unapologetic to the noise. Transport to the airport is also cheaper if you do NOT take the hotel transport which surprised me. I would not stay there again, as I said, nice place but with the noise and attitude of staff, there are other more friendly places to stay.

our group of extended family and friends(17 of us) stayed there for 3D/2N. it was surprisingly nice. the room that i occupied with my cousin has a door directly connecting to the pool. breakfast buffet is ok. i loved the guava. and the choco cereal.

the downside were that sometimes, the one left in the reception area can't speak english well. and of course, its location. although there's the kamala beach right across the hotel, but having learned that it was one of the areas badly hit by the tsunami(you can actually find a tsunami monument there), it can be eerie..the shore though was so wide and the waves can really be big (we went for a quick dip in the beach early morning). also, the first time you enter the room, it smells kinda stuffy.
