We stay at this hotel few days at October 2013. This is a nice place to stay for.

Reason 1 is close to Kamala Beach in walking distance (estimate <10 mins.)

Reason 2 is location, middle part of Kamala located on the main road which is easy to find.

Reason 3 is atmosphere, feels like home because the staffs are very nice and warmly.

Reason 4 is facility, the facility same as the photo in Tripadvisor, the shower is strong makes you feeling fresh after a bath. Room is spacious with Fan on the ceiling. A/C is silent and strong enough makes me fall in sleep in short time.

Unfortunately, I can not enjoy the swimming pool because the rain is very strong in mid of October. Also, hotel is under renovation for some guest rooms which is quite noisy in the daytime.

Nearby hotel had a lot of convenience stores and Big C too which can buy all your daily need items. The hotel WiFi signal is strong, fast and free.

Don't miss the TAOSHA restaurant, Thai food and Western dish is very delicious even though the price little bit higher than nearby restaurant but it is truly worth with, no complain or regret.

We will sure come back again on 2014 enjoy hotel's pool and the food of TAOSHA restaurant as well as the show of Phuket FantaSea.

Room Tip: All the rooms face to the pool.

Hi, thanks for your input and kind remarks her on trip advisor, you will be pleased to know the room renovations have been finished as well as some fantastic new additions to the hotel, we are glad you enjoyed your stay.
thank you also for the remarks about our restaurant TAOSHA, yes we are a little more expensive than the street cafes near by but the ambiance food size portion and presentation far makes up for that i am sure you agree.
With the new LED trees we have just installed around the restaurant it has now become THE ONLY PLACE TO EAT/BE SEEN IN KAMALA and as a previous customer said here on TripAdvisor ITS A DINNING OASIS IN THE HEART OF KAMALA.
Our new webpage for Taosha is www.taosha-asia.com
hope you come back soon

Basic facilities, probably most suited to a family. Larger sized rooms with microwave, fridge kitchen sink etc. The manager was friendly and tried his best to be welcoming. A long way from the beach and at least a 15 minute moto or taxi ride from Patong. Stayed here in the hope of a short trip to the airport the following day but it was actually about 45minute/850 baht taxi ride away.

Dear KTG Guest, We do not advertise that we are close to airport if you email us before we would of said Kamala is really not close to Airport and the ride to Airport is a set price from Airport Limousine transfer service high season the cost is more than what you paid. For 788THB a night special for low season we are more than average Hotel in the eyes of travelers. We have an amazing pool and we are only 5-10 min walk to Beach. Thanks for your review KTG

Depends on what you want but with 2 kids (15 and 12) we want good rooms, to be close to the beach, plenty of space and great service. This place was ideal. Convenient for all the local amenities and although close to the main road you could hear a pin drop in the evenings. The rooms are great, the swimming pool is just what you need after a day at Kamala Beach but what tops it all is the service: Jim and his staff are fantastic! Already planning to go back!!

Room Tip: Just email Jim directly and tell him what you want and he will try to accommodate...all rooms are in...

So glad we found this place - genuinely friendly owners and staff who do all they can to make you feel welcome. If you're looking for a place with the personal touch, this is it. First visit was in January, and liked it so much we were back again last month.

The location turned out to be fine; it's set back from a bland main road, but as others have said, there is no noise from the road. The beach is an easy ten-minute stroll. Useful places such as a bank, convenience stores, cafes etc are all nearby.

The only negative for us was the taxi from the airport on the first visit. The driver clearly had no idea where the hotel was, but wasn't going to admit it. Second time, we arranged for Tropical Garden to pick us up from the airport, so problem solved.

Basically we loved it there and will be back again. And the food is very good!

The resort is just set back from the main road in Kamala, but is very peaceful and perfect location. The rooms are really nicely decorated and the staff were amazing. The manager Jim and his wife Sasha were very welcoming and made us feel at home. We ended up staying a few extra nights because of this. The food at the restaurant was also very good, we really enjoyed the all you can eat Mexican buffet, great atmosphere and were pleased to see locals also enjoying themselves. We were invited to try new recipes that were set to go on the menu, including thai flavoured pizza's, which my boyfriend is still raving about! We will definitely return, great relationship between management and staff which creates a lovely environment for guests. A little gem away from the madness of Patong, couldn't recommend this resort enough :)

As soon as we arrived in Phuket, we knew we wouldn’t be staying for long. After a long time driving up and down a very busy, noisy road, we eventually found this hotel (the sign on the road is a different name from that on our booking!). There is no real reception to speak of; you just have to go up to the bar and wait for someone to come along. The bar and restaurant were set just off the road and were not particularly special. Once you walk through the bar and go behind the main property, you are in the lovely area where the pool and bungalows are. The accommodation is very nicely decorated, good bed, built in kitchen area and air con. We were very pleased with the room, just didn't like the location or surrounding area. One thing to be careful of - I did scratch my arm a couple of times on the inside of the wardrobe door - due to the design there were a few bare nails sticking out.
We unpacked out bags and decided to explore the local neighbourhood. There is not much to see to be honest. You need to somehow cross the very busy road to get to the beach and main shopping area. We did not especially like the beach - it was very busy and touristy. Behind the beach was a long stretch of bars and shops. Some were very good but the food in most of them was pretty mediocre. The following day we went for breakfast at the hotel. The choices were quite strange and the pictures in the menu were definitely more appealing than the actual food. I would recommend a fairly plain omelette which we had on our last morning and was very tasty. The tablecloths on most of the tables were not clean which was not great. Our second day, we decided to book a trip to the national parks and leave. It is a shame that this hotel is not slightly better looked after and in a nicer location. Would recommend Sklya bar for a nice cocktail overlooking the beach and Ma Ma Fatima's for lunch on the beach (be prepared to wait but it's worth it).

hi Raminoz, sorry to hear you didnt like Phuket,
we thank you for your input and you will be glad to hear that the nail issue on the bamboo wardrobe doors have been fixed together with a full re-vamp of the rooms incl filly tiled bathrooms, microwave in each room. the previous manager is no longer here and i am now managing the property.
other changes made are
new signage
new reception at the front of the hotel ( the hotel opening was behind schedule and we had to use a room as a temp reception until this lower season)
Breakfast is now buffet and presented as per picture.
the restaurant is currently under a re-vamp (due for completion mid Sept 2013) But will open with a great new menu incl wester/thai/seafood/pizza and a great Thai creations range not to be missed.
we cant do anything about our location but this is Kamala and some people do like this Island and the coziness of what Kamala has to offer.
regards
jim
