My husband and I just came back from a 3 night stay at Cape Sienna last weekend and we are so glad that we decided on this resort out of the myriad of choices in Phuket. The airport transfer was arranged by our travel agent but upon arrival at the resort, we were greeted by very friendly bell boys who helped us with our luggage up to the lobby on the 1st floor. The reception staff was warm and friendly and immediately provided us with welcome drinks, cool towels and a choice of scents for the toiletries to be used in our room! How nice! The check-in didn’t take more than 10mins and we were shown to our room right after.

The resort is very new and has a hip and modern, minimalist kind of feel to it. We had booked a Jacuzzi C-view room and we were very pleased with the privacy of the room (as the Jacuzzi is located on the balcony). The view from the room was simply breathtaking! Complete unblocked view of the sea! It was really nice to soak in the tub in the afternoon, looking out into the blue horizon with a chilled glass of sparkling wine in your hand…Some of the reviewers here had mentioned that the Jacuzzi takes a long time to fill up (water pressure is a little low) and I do agree on that point. However, you are on holiday and you can always occupy your time with a book or TV while waiting for the tub to fill, so, don’t fret over it. It is a rather big tub!

The room we had was spacious and well appointed, although the mattress was a bit too firm for my liking. Also, what would make the room more complete for me would be an iPod dock, but I’m really being picky here.

The pool at the resort is not too big, it’s more like a lap pool for guests to cool off after their tanning session. Food quality at their Plum restaurant is quite good and the restaurant is beautifully designed. There is a very nice outdoor seating area which faces the sea, and an air-conditioned area with a small mezzanine as well. Their Vanilla Sky bar right at the rooftop is another good area to chill and enjoy the sunset and sea breeze. Breakfast was included in our room rate but I would rate their breakfast quality as average, some hits and misses there.

Prices at their spa are charged at hotel rates but the service and skill of their therapists is very good and I would recommend trying their massages or treatments at least once. Because we were there during low season, we got a 50% discount on their Thai massage, which I thought was a very good deal.

In terms of location, Kamala beach is surely not the most happening area if you require lots of nightlife. It is a good place to be if you prefer some peace and serenity in the evenings and you’ve already been to Phuket several times. Patong is but 20mins away by tuk-tuk, motorbike or by car, so it’s close enough to some excitement and shopping and far enough to provide tranquility if you so desire. The resort does provide free transport to Patong if needed.

Overall, my husband and I enjoyed our stay at Cape Sienna very much and we are glad to have made the right choice staying there. I think the only major downside for some folks (but not for me really) would be the construction that’s still going on in the surrounding areas. In fact, Cape Sienna themselves are still finishing up the construction of their villa units in front of their hotel, so if you decide to stay in at the resort during the afternoon, you will definitely hear construction noise when lounging at the pool. This will not be a problem at night though. I believe the area will be much more hospitable in 6-9 months’ time when all construction work should be completed, but I will still give Cape Sienna two thumbs up and will certainly recommend it for couples looking for a romantic getaway (check out their adults concept policy)!

We stayed at Cape Sienna for 6 nights in August. The hotel is big and stylish. The view from the room is terrific. I would recommend this hotel as all the construction in the surroundings is finished. The first room they offered us was one on the corner of the building closest to Kamala. There is a big construction site of a new hotel next to that building. I am not sure when that will be finished. The construction continued into the evening. I definitely would not consider staying at that site of the hotel untill the construction is finished. After one night we got a good deal on a penthouse pool suite. This room was wonderfull. We stayed there for 5 nights but choose to check out because there was also construction noise from the villa's in front of the hotel. These will be finished in october, so from that moment that noise will stop.

Pros:
- Terrific view
- Good choice of breakfast
- Trendy design
- Nice pool
- Surin beach is 300 baht with taxi or tuktuk and realy nice, try the tuesday or fridaynight bbq at Catch Beach Club from Twinpalms
- The rooftop bar is excellent

Cons:
- Construction noise
- Kamala in low season is empty, Patong is close but ugly and way to touristy for us
- The Kamala beach was dirty and empty during our stay. There are sunbeds on the beach but that is a long walk from the hotel. There is a shuttle from the hotel available twice per day.
- Front office is young an not experienced, but you can expect this in a new hotel. If there are any issues just ask for the manager on duty. They are extremely helpfull and nice.
- If the hotel is fully booked (not during our stay) it will feel cramped. When we stayed there, there were already people who "booked" a poolbed by placing a towel on it before breakfast.
- Hotel has no sea in front of it

Overall i would not recommend this hotel at this moment, but in a year it will be better. In low season stay at Surin (also quiet but better then Kamala) or Kata or Karon.

Clean and spacious minimalistic room with a jacuzzi on the terrace. Very Good food at Plum and Poolside restaurant. Top services and friendly staff and the SPA-therapist (K. Pu) is maybe the best therapist in the world? Free Internet acess :-) Something too improve? Yes: The Juices at breakfast was not good (close to water)and there was some problems with english-skills at Poolside-restaurant. Some noises with constructions, but for me it was not a problem.

If you are looking for relaxing stay in luxurious and leisorous atmosphere then Cape Sienna is perfect for you.

Located at a small distance from the Kamala Beach on a hill top Cape Sienna has a breath taking view over the bay. Being on the western shore of Phuket the sun sets are potentially gorgeous and very beautiful on the average.

For party goers Cape Sienna is a good choice too since the trip to near by Patong takes only about ten minutes and the Hotel provides a car and driver if needed. Although the price is quite steep (500 THB from the hotel to Patong where a tuk tuk can be about 200 THB) the aircon in the car can make the difference.

Architecturally the hotel relies heavily on the water element which is a very very good choice in my books. A small aqueduct surrounds the reception area giving Hanging Gardens like atmosphere. The water is clear and white stones are used at the the bottom of the "aqueduct". The same theme is repeated all over the hotel and spa. On the tables are small glasses with white stones, water and varying plants. The pool area is surrounded the same way as the reception area. The Plum restaurant has larger "pool" which has couple of tables embedded to the pool (you really have to see it to fully understand) and the entrace to the Vanilla Sky bar is made of pool and stepping stones.

The room we stayed at was cozy and as a great touch during the check in we were given a choice of fragrances to chooce from. This fragrance then wasa applied to the room every day by vaporizing the oil over a flame in specific vessels. A small minus side in the room was the fact that when leaving the room and taking the keycard with us the electricity was essentially shut down from the room effectively terminating the AC. When we returned to the room the air in was hot and damp. This however is quite understandable and easily fixed when the keycard was inserted back to enable the power. Then however the AC was reset to +24 °C which feels quite cold when enetering from outside temperatures of well over +30 °C.

The Poolside Bar, where the breakfast is served, has a great atmosphere. The funituring is cozy and the music is smooth. The staff is very friendly and professional.

Also I should mention the Balance Spa located above the Poolside Bar. The manager of the Spa, Puh, is very friendly and nice person and is quite skillful masseuse and mani-/pedicurist too. Compared to the prices of various massage parlours around the island Balance Spa is quite expencive but still cheap comparing to the western prices. The price tag however is well earned. The staff of the spa is well trained in their work and engage in conversation should you want to have a chat or do their job in silence if you want to chat relax.

On our trip we overlooked the Plum Restaurant to our great dissapointment. We reserved a table for the last evening of our stay and ordered a seven course meal. The meal was excellent, the service was great and the surrounding astonishing. I wish we had visited the restaurant earlier so we could have enjoyed it more but I am very happy we chose to end our vacation there for it was a worthy closure for our trip!

We spent our honeymoon at Cape Sienna hotel, Kamala, Phuket and our stay was above all expectations. Great service, a stunning view over the sea, a beautiful room with jacuzzi on the balcony!!! And the food........let's not forget the food, really first class!! The restaurant Plum Garden is recommended, their sunday brunch is excellent, not to talk about the Tapas evening!! But everthing we ate at Cape Sienna was good and looked good!!!
We also had spa treatments at the hotel spa, really relaxing and nice. When we wanted to go to Phi phi islands and on other trips the staff fixed that for us. There's only good things to say about Cape Sienna hotel, the staff took care of all our needs and we had a beautiful honeymoon!! We really recommend this hotel, and we will of course return there!

Been to Cape Sienna for Honeymoon ! Terrific Hotel, amazing location
in phuket and great ambience.

From the start of our stay we were taken care of very nicely. The
manager even had a tailor made program which included some great
places to see around, and a half day tailor made Spa program followed
by a very healthy Spa lunch, which my wife loved. Also one of my personal favorites at the poolside was an interesting spaghetti bolognaise, with a touch of thai flavor to it, something refreshing and new.

When the manager knew about it being our honeymoon, we were recommended the seven course dinner, in the Plum restaurant, overlooking the sunset, one of
the most romantic meals we have had during the trip. You just can't miss that one, if
you are around. The Chef and attendants are not only very hospitable, but they also
tailor cooked food to suit our tastes.. Food was amazingly yumm!!

The staff were excellent, ever smiling , friendly and attentive, and
would even follow my plans to surprise my wife perfectly.
A wonderful start to our married life thanks to cape sienna. Will
surely return back.
