This was the first of 4 farms we stayed at during our 11 day autumn break. As we were on our way to Scotland we chose this farm because it was near to the M6 and also close to Martin Mere wildfowl sanctuary for our visit there the following morning.
Being delayed, as we negotiated Liverpool, we had to inform our hostess, Wendy, we would be an hour late. However, despite her expecting us in time to greet us and then go out for the evening Wendy was there at our arrival to show us to our room and settle us in to what proved to be a separate family suite.
In addition to the above consideration the excellent breakfast the following morning and the friendly unhurried chat, although there were other guests to serve, it was a pleasant and unexpected overnight stay which we would have been happy to extend had it not been for our rather full schedule. It is quite possible we wil be staying again at Sandy Brook Farm. The car park is spacious and convenient.More
