Comfy and super atmospheric!

We stayed in a room in an atmospheric, traditional stone house with a fully revamped interior that offered maximum comfort. While efficient and businesslike, the proprietress served rocket fuel coffee (for an additional cost) and even gave us a lift to the airport when we left. Hiking up over the hills to the other side of the island was an unforgettable experience. The village of Chinbe was an ideal place to base ourselves on Beigan with an atmosphere somewhere between a historic relic and a film set. If you want to get away from it all while enjoying relative modernity (good AC, TV, and privacy), this place is for you!

The village of Qinbi built on mountainsides, is also known as “a Mediterranean town on the Taiwan straits”. We felt that Qinbi is a beautiful small mountain side village similar to Eze, France. Qinbi has the best-preserved eastern Fujian-style building in all of Mastu, and we accommodated one of the buildings. Sleeping accompanies the sound of the wind and wave.

Room tip: Qinbi is far away from downtown and the shops are close in 7 PM. You need to prepared dinner by yourself.
