Our stay there was totally relaxing and enjoyable.

Pre-trip service was excellent. We were traveling from one end of Taiwan (Hualien) to the other (Chiayi) and unsure about how to get there. Mr Liu Jnr was most patient in helping us find our way to the Shi Zhuo bus stop where they could pick us up.

The family was very hospitable. Mr Liu showed us his tea-making skills and tea plantation. Mr Liu Jnr bought us to a local restaurant to eat local specialties - tea oil chicken and to see fire flies after dinner. Mr and Mrs Liu then brought us to eat local noodles for lunch the next day plus sent us to the next bus stop to catch the bus to Chiayi. Mrs Liu told us on the way to our bus stop that the family decided to put in all these small services as they would have appreciated such provision when they traveled overseas.

As for the surrounding, we love the cool weather and greenery. We would recommend this place for warm service from the heart and for a good rest in the calm serene surroundings.

Room tip: Do try the tea when you are here.

The B&B was much closed (1.6km) to the Shi Zhuo where every bus #7322 stopped during the journey to the Alishan station. It was owned by a family who run the tea plantation and processing facility there, and they could kindly pick us up to the B&B or to Shi Zhuo bus top. The location was much convenient since Shi Zhuo was the place that we could find some retail stores and restaurants. Breakfast was Taiwanese style and my kid was easy to have it. The dining place was quite nice because it was surrounded by windows even the roof so we could visually feel we were in the center of the mountain. You could find a nice hall in 6th floor which provide you sufficient vision to the beautiful sun rise in the morning.
Riding back to the B&B after the dinner from Shi Zhuo, we enjoyed the tea time with B&B owner family in the 1st floor. Oolong tea, black tea, and various other teas were prepared and we really enjoyed those. The owner, Mr. Liu gave us some explanation, and his son kindly translate those in English, so it was easy to understand their tea cultures. We bought some of their tea products at there. Tour to the processing facility, tea plantation, and fireflies were also much impressive. I and my family wish to go there again.

Room tip: 6th floor should be the best to see the sun rise.

Spent two nights at Tea Cloud B&B. Karsing Liu is the young man who runs the B&B, and he is friendly and full of good advice about the area. His family has been growing tea since the early 1980s and his whole family is still growing, harvesting, processing, and selling tea. Sitting around the big tea table in the evening with his father, uncles, cousins, and grandfather was certainly the highlight, tasting fantastic high mountain oolongs that they grew and processed.
There is a beautiful walking trail close by, and although not too long -- maybe five miles round trip -- it passes through gorgeous tea plantations, bamboo and cypress forests. It's also close to Alishan National Park -- about 30-40 minutes -- which is a great day trip.
The B&B offers a good breakfast, too, but it helps to be there when it first opens at 7:30, when everything is hot and plentiful.
Also, Karsing was really helpful because I left my computer plug there and he got in touch with me as well as the next hotel I was staying at, and sent it to me.
The only downside was that it's right on Route 18, which is pretty well traveled, and there was a fair amount of road noise in the room.

We stayed in 201 which has two queen beds that can fit 4 adults. From our window, we can see the mountains. The shower is strong and clean. The rm and all the decks are modern. The owner and the family are very kind and hospitality. They took us to see the fireflies and the tea factory. The breakfast is included and tasty. Def recommend this place. You can take the bus up to the forests.

The parents, son, and daughter-in-law are warm, generous hosts. They treat you like their own family! They will pick you up and drop you off at Shizhuo and Fenqihu. Very prompt, convenient service! Home-grown vegetables served at breakfast. Tour of tea plantation where award-winning tea is cultivated. Excellent view of sunrise.
